What do you guys do when you feel down or depressed?

Usually go for a run or to a movie solo. I go see goofy movies with the boys, I go see serious movies by myself or with a girl that actually can appreciate it.

That is something I need to get into more. I can't watch movies by myself...but I hear so many people doing it, and they love doing it. I guess I feel the need to instantly talk about the movie afterward to either share my enthusiasm or share my utter hatred for the film. Its weird just sitting there by yourself.

I've only done it once though...and it was a packed theater and the people who chose to sit next to me kept talking to me as if I was in their party with them...why? So I didn't even feel like I went to the movies by myself.

During the week when the crowds are down to nothing I usually do it if it's something that's not like a big event. Right after work just go a couple blocks to the AMC. Everybody else is either working late because they're workaholics or hitting the bar because they're alcoholics. :p Movies during the week ain't in their grand scheme. Romantic comedies are what the girlfriend wants to see, crazy ass comedies and blockbusters are what the boys want to see. Stuff like indie flicks no one I know likes but me, so you know.

if your depessed the last thing you should do is talk about it on the hype

As long as I have my friends (in and out of the Hype) to lift me up when I'm down, my depression can never get the better of me.

I used to skin hookers, but thanks to GTA no longer feel the need. Suck it Fred Thompson. :cmad:

Talk to a friend or go watch a movie or play with animals.

try to find a very cute girl and make out. This should always be the number one priority if one feels depressed

watching the news is and reading the paper is about as depressing as it gets.

Oh, this is an easy one.
I sit there and think about alternatives to get around/through the situation.
I also listen to songs/listen carefully to the lyrics and find out how they relate to my current situation. Love songs are a killer because I now pay attention to the lyrics and relate to them.

:csad: :o

Depends on the time of day.

During working hours I come to the Hype. I can usually count on it for a couple of laughs.

When my son is awake, I play with him. Hard to stay depressed when you have a happy toddler creating and destroying buildings and towers built of blocks.

If it's too early for bed and my boy is asleep, I try to watch something funny on T.V. - Mythbusters usually makes me smile, so does America's Got Talent.

If T.V. disappoints then it's time for a movie - Spider-man or one of my other Marvel flicks.

If it's time for bed then, it's time for rumpy bumpy... you just know that won't leave you depressed ;)

(Before I had my little boy and before I was married, dance clubs were my mood elevator of choice)
