what do you think the 10 deleted scenes are?

I thought that the Guy being nice to Logan at the bar could represent society becoming a little more accepting. But not enough was shown to support that.

I did too. Maybe he felt bad acting the way he did back when he tossed him out the first time, since times had obviously changed. Magneto had been a dangerous threat, the mutants had stopped him, etc. Humans can evolve too. It would have been interesting to see how Bobby's parents would have reacted after that.

It's possible. I don't think it's a terrible scene.

...and he just leaves the gun on the counter...

DUMBASS.

And I can't believe that dive had a kitchen.

While I think a number of these scenes, such as Logan returning to the bar, sounded nice theoretically, I am glad they were not included in the movie. For obvious reasons, they don't seem like they would fit in very well. They're kind of awkward . . . Xavier's voiceover trying overcome the oddly distracting swirling sound effects and visual accompaniment . . . Juggernaut's electrocution . . . and the bar scene (that scene just doesn't play right to me).

wow, i cant believe i missed these.

- the monologue was just poorly done and the effects were probably very unfinished.

- beast growling? i didnt think it hurt or added anything to the film.

- the bar scene was nice, but yeah, wouldnt work in the movie.

- and the fight scene...interesting stuff. i wish they kept in the lightning punches only because in the movie, storm was just getting her ass handed to her and in the exact same way as x1's toad fight scene. let her fight back dammit!! but the logan/conductor thing was just stupid. you know, she coulda just hit juggs with a bolt directly. and he did have lots of metal on his body. they could have found so many ways to incorporate teamwork and that was the best they could come up with.... <sigh>

theres no reason to cut the xavier voice over....... i think it would have "kept the movie flowing"...

I didn't see that scene yet. Was it the same man from the first X-movie? And what did he do with that gun?

what about the Rogue mother scene? never was a scene with her or what?

Beast growling was amazing, I loved it. It would have added more humor to the scene.

I liked the monologue a lot, but it did seem very unfinished. It's a shame really.

Extended fight scene, hmmm... I liked everything except the frying of Juggernaut. I really liked the couple-second thunderslaps Storm was doing against Callisto. The electrocution was just not a great idea.

if im not mistaken, it was planned as an alternate scene for when after she got cured, she went home instead of going to the school, but it was never shot.

I would certainly break the cinema if she went back home. Getting cured is terrible, but staying at the school means she still has a chance :p

It seemed very awkward to me. I'm too lazy to watch the clip again but IIRC after Beast growls he just continues the conversation as if nothing happened. No reaction from Storm or Xavier either. As if it never happened.

WTF, why the hell didnt they keep those thunder punches from storm in the final cut?!? That was perfect!!

The electrocution thing was a good idea too using Logan as a conductor but I can see why that bit wasnt in the cut.

Xaviers voice over was...well, crap compared to the previous movies.

I wish they kept the Beast growl in too, made me chuckle and its a nice little touch. Its the little things that really make the movie better.

xavier's voiceover was bad. you could barely hear him with the background sound. i liked his voiceover in the x3 teaser. they should've used that.

beast growl was so out of place. why would he growl like an animal if he didnt like wolverine calling him one???? lol

the extended battle scene was cool but it definalty wouldn't have worked since it was cutting in with xavier vs. phoenix. i think if they left in storm's lightning just towards callisto then maybe it would.

wolverine coming back to the bar was cool but again wouldn't work.. plus it makes it seem that the wolverine spinoff is coming up. almost like it will be a sequal rather than a prequal.

basically im glad they kept all those scenes out.

Agreed. I didn't receive the same majestic voice as the previous 2 narrations (X1 & X2). He sounds tired lol. :D

Yes... details really enrich movies. Very important imo. And how I interpretate Beast's growl...t'was a symbol of how he's fed up of people calling/looking at him as an 'animal', 'beast' (that's why he would come in wanting the cure) It was like: "You think I'm an animal? There you go". Of course people who don't know about beast just going to think 'ha ha. funny'. That's when AGAIN the character development problemo comes in.

Storm and Xavier have known Beast for a long time; they'd be very familiar with his growling, his personality, his sense of humour so they'd hardly be shocked.

And with you complaining about Dania's 'terrible acting' in a brief fight clip lasting a few seconds, it sounds like you are just moaning and nitpicking. Now, tell me, was the road surface the correct colour outside Jean's parents' house? :whatever:

Speaking of nitpicking... how come Juggernaut shoots up Wolverine to the ceiling and suddenly appears again, breaking it? Logan's not so heavy for breaking through the floor above lol

Why it was done: Looks cool

How it works: Juggernaut put a lot of strength behind that throw

I should imagine a skeleton coated in super-dense adamantium makes him a lot heavier than he looks... :cwink:

I like the edit, Ones. It's rough, but the construction and intercutting is well though out, if not perfectly executed. Wasn't it you who said you were going to completely recut the film after the DVD release (phoenix effect, deleted scenes and all that)? I look forward to that. :yay:
