What do you want on the directors cut?

Though I'd love for Rogue not to be cured, I don't want the alternate in the director's cut as I still want the cut to rely on the same storyline so that future movies can still follow up on it.

I'd include a lot of the deleted scenes... some. I'd have Storm's wave, Iceman freezes Phat, Beast calling Trask, Jean sensing the girl, etc... I'd want some of the effects brushed up - particularly the deleted scenes. Definitely have the opening monologue (CGI improved, of course). It'd be cool for small things too, like adding some of the mental voice over during the Xavier/Jean fight. I'd totally want the alternate X-Jet speech one, it was great.

After today's DVD fiasco, I'm not so sure I want a Director's Cut now. I have serious fears that they'd ship the Theatrical Version in Director's Cut packaging...:whatever:

Thats why you let the other people around here buy it first, see what they say and then go out to buy it :yay:

Yeah, and didn't a couple people say that they saw a Colossus vs Juggernaut scene?
Yes. BUT i still put major question marks behind those reports.Only a handfull of people have supposedly seen this scene. The only evidence of Juggs vs Colossus is a storyboard in the Art Of X-Men The Last Stand and confirmation from Zak Penn that it was scripted but then scrapped.

That makes no sense. Are you sure it's the same FOX that gave us X3?
Yes, hard to believe isn't it?:woot:

There is probably a fair amount of stuff that was filmed that is either sitting on a shelf somewhere or hit the cutting room floor, never got up again and is gone for good. As an example of Fox doing this in the past we know for a fact there were a few scenes that were definitely filmed for the Fantastic Four that never made the film or the DVD, not even as deleted scenes (we saw on-set photos taken of an art gallery, complete with different sculptures of the Thing in the window, film of which has never seen the light of day). There was also alternate effects used in different scenes too, which seems to depend upon what region you were in as to what ones you saw in the theatres (afaik these alternate effects scenes aint been included on any DVD either).
I'm pretty sure i've seen the deleted Ben/Alicia scenes at the Kirby gallery. I think the german Fantastic Four dvd had more deleted stuff and one hype member was kind enough to post all of them.

There about 15 minutes of perfectly good scenes cut from that movie. Thankfully we are going to be able to see it next year when they release the FF director's cut. But cutting it in the first place was crazy.

So if any of this rumored footage for X3 does still exist somewhere it would be nice if somewhere down the line we did get to see it. If it's in a directors cut (possible considering how much film was available to be put back into Daredevil by it's director), that'd be fine by me.

Anyways, if there is to be a directors cut I'd love for them to revise the effects on Phoenix and give us the goddam firebird effect and put back in the following deleted scenes we do know exist: Extended fight at Jeans house, Iceman freezing Phat, more phoenix destruction, original boarding plane scene, jean sensing the scared girl, Storms Wave, Magneto asking for Jeans help in the final battle and Rogue not taking the cure.
Theres also an extended scene with Xavier and Storm with her talking about her african origins that was deleted and can only be seen on a monitor in one of the behind-the-scenes featurettes.

Even though the comic fans know where she's from and though you could -kind of- guess that she's from Africa by looking at her clothes as a general audience member. It would have been great to finally hear her talk about it since she's so proud of her background. We've only seen her acknowledge that only by the way she dresses and her accent in the first film.

Thats one thing Bryan Singer never really adressed in X-men and X2 and this would have been a perfect moment to fix one of his mistakes.

There was also some stuff filmed for the first X-men that wasnt on the DVD. There was a longer conversation between Cyclops and Xavier in the lab right before Logan walks in to tell us that Rogue is gone. It was in the novelization and dialogue from the conversation can actually be heard in one of the tv spots.
And these scenes as well...
