The Dark Knight What does batman need most from his bat-suit?

Batman should look like this!

Don't Blame me. Blame Nolan for using such a crappy Bat-suit. I wish there was no need for this thread but there is.

Batman looks like a rubber ***** instead of the world's greatest detective. It's simply unacceptable.

Can we please replace the rubber costume now?
No.:o And the suit is not rubber. The Cloth batsuit looks like crap in live-action.

*shrugs* I'm not against it. You know it'll be difficult to explain why he's not wearing that black armor anymore though.

Um that's actually quite easy too explain.

Alfred: (removing a bullet from Bruce's leg) "Your getting sloppy sir. Perhaps it's time for more advanced training?"

Bruce: "It's the suit Alfred. I can't move fast enough. Every second counts"

let's not forget a breathable pouch and a generous inseam.
NO ONE enjoys crotch wedgies.

i'm going to let you in on a little secret:

there is no need for any of your spray-on kevlar, revisionist threads. in fact, from what i've seen so far, there is likely no need for any of your threads.

Im going to start calling him Comic Book guy :D.

He's probably started a similar thread on the Ghost Rider forums.

Hey, guys! Ghost Rider reallllly needs a spray-on kevlar bike and chain/whip!

And the Silver Surfer should have a spray-on kevlar surfboard!

I'll let YOU in on a little secret:

THE GIANT-RUBBER ***** COSTUME MUST GO!!!

BTW- The word "revisionist" applies to anybody who thinks Batman should look like a rubber *****.

I see your point though according to the films he's not having trouble darting swfitly in and out and such with his current suit. Of course we know that's not the case. I'd fall over convulsing with joy if they made him look similar to that statue you posted though.

What's interesting is Blankman invented the spray on bullet proof cloth first. hmmm ahead of his time, eh?

I am not, I repeat...I am not a fan or supporter of spandex.

But I agree that Rubber suits are so 80s and it has to go.

What to use? I have no idea...but not spandex or rubber!

Batman's suit is fine, his chest armor is awesome

he does tho, need a storage unit for, Urine and fecile matter... what's a bat to do when he's got some gwano poking out, and he's in the middle of a fight...???

Well if you don't know what else than rubber it is.

And blind furry if that costume reminds you of a ***** you have some self issues you need to work out. ;) :D

they can definitely improve on the material the Batsuit is made from, BB suit and the SR suit are supposed to be made from the same material right? but the SR suit is definitely a lot more flexible now than the BB suit back then, so i'm sure they can find a "middle ground" keeping the benefits of both the latex and the rubber suits.

Singer put too much into that SR suit. ANd then the focusing on the crotch soo much in the movie..........it was too much even for Singer.

:p

Well Singer likes what Singer likes.

Not a choice in the poll, but the primary purpose of the suit is to instill fear in the Batman's victim, it's the sole purpose of the disguise, and to me, material aside, the BB suit does not carry that off. Particularly the cowl. It's contours are curved rather than angular. Visually curves=softness.

Batman can't move faster than a bullet, so protection is more necessary than dexterity. What's the point of being able to move fast when one bullet can easily cripple you? That's all it takes. One lucky shot to the shoulder, leg, arm, etc. No matter where it hits, it's gonna slow him down.

A cloth suit is absolutely horrible. Just look at Dead End. It's a ****ing joke. The current suit is the best we'll probably ever get in a movie for many, many years. In the real world, Batman would need the protection he has. He's not Spider-Man or Superman where he can easily dodge them.

You see this is the argument that I just don't understand, in the real world Batman, Superman, Spiderman etc, do not exist. The whole fabric of the super-hero universe is founded in fantasy, where the fantastic is the ordinary.

For me a design based on the "real world concept" is flawed from it's inception. In a real world environ do you really envision that Spider-Man could actually dodge the bullet spray from an automatic weapon.

Working from the "one bullet takes him down" scenario make the adventures of Indiana Jones, James Bond, and John McLaine impossible. Why aren't these characters hamstrung by the same real world ball and chain that The Batman is subjected to?
