Alias. Would love to see that as a movie.
Marvels- I'm thinking a superhero version of Cloverfield.

Did you bother reading the question, the thread, or looking at the poll?

The poll has an other option

I see that, but I'm still not grasping what he is saying.

Alias isn't Marvel material.
Superhero version of Cloverfield sounds... Convoluted to say the least.

Would it consist of a superhero being followed by camera, or a Kree/Skrull war taking place on earth, and a bystander filming the hero's battling it out?

Visually it be cool, but there is way too much to explain!

knack, I appreciate your ideas, but develop them a bit more.

Marvels would only be like Cloverfield in as much as it is seen through the eyes of ordinary people witnessing extraordinary events unfold around and not necessarily with any sort of explanation, i.e. waking up to find Galactus in the middle of New York, or Hulk on the rampage- although I concede this leans more toward disaster movie than thriller.
Alias, would make a great thrilleras it is essentially a private detective story and would be as much a Marvel film as Punisher, Punisher: War Zone and Blade.

It be interesting to see a shaky camera style Marvel movie, but it could be a disastrous bomb. It could very well be thrilling.

Alias, for all I know, and what I just quickly checked, has nothing to do with Marvel, and this thread is exclusively about Marvel characters.

Alias is a Marvel MAX property involving Jessica Jones

Marvels is a story about a reporter experiencing the marvel universe. Superhero Cloerfield sounds right to me.

Oh, well how embarrassing.
I bow down in shame.

Sorry knack!

I've been out of comics since I've started school, surprised I even find time to post.

Alias is the book where Luke Cage's wife made her debut, dude. It just happens to have the same title as the TV show starring Jennifer Garner. Different concept, completely.

Wolverine will most likely rock the house, especialy after I found out whos playing Sabretooth. Aside from that I don't know who much else won't be bastardized into oblivion.

Aswell.......nothing Marvel has done has even touched what BB did, and that makes me ashamed as I would choose Marvel over DC any day of the week.

That's your opinion and while I loved Batman Begins I'd take Spider-Man 1,2, Blade 2, and X2 over it. But that's just me. Iron Man looks like it might be the best Marvel film to date.

A Shang-Chi, Luke Cage, or Iron Fist film would amazing films behind the right hands. They could easily be thrillers.

Agreed! I don't see why some people find it necessary to bash Marvel movies every chance they get. The characters are all different and appeal to different people. Daredevil is a lot different than the Fantastic Four who's a lot different from X-men. It's a reason why they are not in the same universe even though they were made by the same studio.

The characters are all different, but those bashing the movies aren't doing so for a hate of the character.

They're bashing with impunity!

Its great that the characters have divergent personalities, but we want as faithful and as masterful a translation as possible.

Hardcore Silver Surfer fans probably don't want to see him be totally dependent on his board.

Hardcore Wolverine fans might want to have Logan be a short, angry Canuckle head that burst out into insane rages.

Hardcore Ghostie fans might not want him cracking one liners and shooting the bird.

Elektra fans... Might want a movie that didn't suck balls...

We just want good movies, good movies that uses the good material that is already available.

If you read Ghost Rider comics, there's little chance that the sequel becoming a thriller because GR is such an uber character. If the guy is an underdog, doesn't use firearms and fighting a more powerful nemesis then we can see an edge of your seat thriller.

That's why I said Daredevil and the rest of the street level heroes are candidates.

Intense 'triller'.... hmmm....

An X-Men movie could be an intense thriller, if written in that way. Storylines like the Hellfire Club have the necessary elements for a 'thriller' story.

Ghost Rider is more horror. The first movie was a horror for all the wrong reasons. If done properly, it should be quite scary.

Black Widow could be an intense thriller because she is an agent.

Dr Strange could be a thriller if filmed in realistic, abstract way, rather than a 'sword and sorcery' story.
