What game has the best enemy reaction to being shot?

I hear the shot-at animations for Resistance aren't impressive, borderline suck balls.

okay...sorry my answer wasnt what you wanted. Sorry let me try again "oh my god the best deaths are in Halo, bioshock and Gears of War! i just bust a nut when i see them die." PLEASE....i can see the boards havent changed. :( when the hell is it ever going to be okay for someone to have.a diverse out look on something? No everyone has to like the samething or you'll be alienated from the group. oh well people already hate me for my console of choice and games of choice. What will they think of next. :(
I don't think that's the reason why  ...

I don't have anything against you, but christ, that is one of the most ironical things I've ever read. You have the least diverse outlook of anyone I've ever come across ever.:huh:

Haha go Lizard. Whatshisface can't be happy if you pick Sony games, come on now. Hell, NO ONE knows whether or not KZ2 is ****ty or not, that's just his inner fanboy taking over. But I picked RE4, even though it never appeared on the Xbox. Hell, even the Wii got it, so I don't know why Capcom couldn't just spread the love. And (back to the actual topic, lets not try to judge anyone's choice)if headshots really worked in RE4, that would've broken the game. Unless of course they had less ammo lieing around AND they were 28 Days Later style zombies, who ran the whole time instead of just part of the time, then that would have worked.

I also picked RE4, even though that never appeared on the Xbox. :whatever:

Some of you people just can't admit when a game doesn't qualify for something, and then pull the "OH U JUST LIEK ONE SYSTEM" even though that is EXACTLY what you are doing.

Lizard, I used to stick up for you, but you're really just a stupid kid with a hard-on for a stupid game. Get over it, it's over. Let go. No one talks about Resistance anymore.

You guys are crazy, RE4 might have the best hit detection, but reaction? Nay nay.

No, it's just the fact that you have a ****ty, narrow-minded view when it comes to judging games and their quality. Anyone who thinks Killzone 2 will be anything more than mediocre is absolutely, downright insane. Resistance wasn't that good, damn. It was rather overhyped. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't "TEH BEZT GAEM EVARZ!!1" like you seem to want to be. If you line up Bioshock, Halo 3, Metroid, and KZ2, there's not going to be an unbiased reviewer alive that will think KZ2 will be better than any of those games. Let alone Resistance. Sheesh.

I have to agree with WHF, I tried to defend you before.. but you're just being a blind moron. Your scope of games pertains only to what Sony puts out and that alone is enough to condemn your credibility.

I downloaded that John Woo game demo yesterday on my 360. When you go into Precision aim, the enemies react differently every time, where ever you shoot them. The gameplay over all is okay, but the aiming is sweet.

X, you really are an idiot. You really think that EVERY UNBIASED reviewer will put KZ2 at the bottom of that list. Hell, three of the four games you mentioned ARE NOT EVEN OUT. Not one review for any of them except Bioshock. Now unless you have a crystal ball, you should try and stop judging a group of people that doesn't share beliefs with you. Just a wild guess here, but I bet 90% of the people that think KZ2 will be better than mediocre are sane, maybe even 95%. But you probably think I'm insane now, cuz I think something that you think is just crazy talk. Everyone thought DMC2 would be the bomb, but they were wrong too.

I do think that they would. Or at least the extreme majority would. And the fact that they're not out is sort of the point. Seeing as Killzone 2 is not out yet. Durrrhh. You have three proven franchises (BioShock is proven seeing as all it's scores hover around 9.5-10) against one unproven franchise. Both console games from that developer have.. sucked. Any knowledgeable, unbiased reviewer would not put Killzone 2 before any of those games in terms of expectations.

It's all good and well that Killzone 2 looks good, I guess, from the screenshots that are shown. But that doesn't mean anything for the gameplay. Which, in Killzone 1, was horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Halo and Metroid's gameplay are proven to be great, and Bioshock has turned out to be a once in a lifetime experience. If you had half a brain you would not put a game produced by a ****ty console dev before games made by proven-to-be great developers. That is beyond illogical. It's borderline inane to make such a prediction. Drawing conclusions about a games' probable delivery from a developer's track record is not something newfangled or absurd.

Actually, it's what seperates the morons or idiots, as you put it, and the people with more than just 5% of their brain working.

If you had half a brain you would know that that not everyone has your opinion. And you forgot to mention that ACTUAL GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE looked great, on top of screenshots. And you would most assuredly be in that five percent. And to make clear one more time, because I can tell you're a little slow, not everyone shares your opinion, but that does NOT, and I'll say it again, DOES NOT make you better, even if you know you're right and they're wrong. Let me have fun with KZ2 and it's incredible graphics, and I'll leave you alone while you sticky grenade fools on Xbox Live. Does that sound fair, or are you going to insult me again, which is fine if it makes you feel better, since I'm getting off in a second anyways.

Hit them in the head, they turn away and hold their face. Hit them in the arm, they drop their weapon. Hit them in the other arm, they spin backward and hold their wound. Hit them in the legs, they trip.

Yeah, those are damn good reactions.

Though I must say Doom 3 probably has the best hit detection since it did away with the "hitbox".

I'd also just like to point out that Guerrilla has yet to put out a decent shooter. These people aren't Valve or Bungie. They are freaking Guerrilla. I know you people are dying for a good PS3 FPS but Killzone 2 is not going to be it.

Oh damn, I meant to say best hit detection reactions, hahah, my bad. The reactions are all the same though, and that's what turns me off. Anything with ragdoll physics kicks ass, Max Payne 2 is just top of my list because I loved playing Dead Man Walking and pumping a guy's stomach full of bullets while he flies across the map in slow motion.

Good to see that not everyone has my opinion. It keeps life interesting. But to claim that Killzone 2 can be ranked up there with high-profile games is just ridiculous. It's made by Guerilla who, like WHF said, have yet to make a decent game for a console. This information is not new to anyone. They're not some "hot, new developer". They're a tired, ****ty dev. that has fooled people time and time again (with Sony's help) into getting hyped for their games and being let down.

You're playing into the hype machine without any sort of historical or logical basis for it. And it's pretty damn sad. [I also love how you insinuate that I must be a Halo fanboy to talk down on Killzone. It doesn't take a fanboy to see that Guerilla is a horrible developer.]

If "being set on fire" counts here, I'd like to nominate Deus Ex: Invisible War. For all the problems I had with that game, running around with that fire boltcaster and lighting everyone up was great, I did that for hours. The voice acting from all the various characters during the "I'm on fire, run around with my arms flailing" bits was fantastic.

Bioshock has some good reactions..like when they're charging at you and you shoot them in the head.

If you know that, then you should also know that some people actually did think KZ was pretty good. There are even people that hated Halo 2. And maybe, just maybe, there is someone who thought Super Mario World was lame. But they have no soul, so their opinion doesn't count.

A vast minority did. But it's common sense that KZ was a buggy, drab mess. Who cares what Sony fanboys think when it comes to it? From a pure logical stance, KZ was a bad game compared to most shooters out at the time. Just as Halo 2 was a good shooter among shooters at the time of it's release.
