What Happend to Family Guy?

I was wondering when they were going to make a Silence of the Lambs reference with Chris, since Green based Chris's voice on Buffalo Bill.

Huh? Really?

Haha my favorite lines were:

Peter: "I HAVE SPOKEN!"

Meg: "Still gonna..."

Stewie:"...I flew today."

Of course without seeing the episode...neither of these would make sense or even be funny.

Since I haven't seen the episode yet, I'd have to agree with you.

I literally just watched that bit where Seth talks about the origin of Chris's voice, so that made that Silence bit even funnier.

I agree with some that Peter being a pedo made no sense what so ever, & I don't think it is all that funny. I don't care if it is a cartoon.

So, uh Seth...see what happens when you don't push your politics onto the show?

Peter was into Connie back in the early season where he went as Lando Griffin into the school so...what's the big deal?

Like I said in the last page its how it was presented.

I found it a bit out of character..I dunno hard to explain..like it was and wasnt cuz he hit on her before but what now? Peter raping Connie is gonna be a new ongoing joke? It's stupid. I think its out of character because ultimately he loves Lois and has shown shes the only one for him on so many occasions.

Also when he hit on her as Lando it was because Connie represented every hot girl in high school Peter could never get. In this episode it was as if Connie was the hot barley legal piece of ass everyone wanted. Peter was pulling moves out of Herbert's book and it's wrong.

(Herbert with the closet gay jock could have been a comedy goldmine though.)

I meant it's wrong as in "don't switch your characters and how they act for no apparent reason" not wrong on a moral standpoint.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but Seth Mcfarlane stopped smoking weed a year ago so that could have something to do with why the show isn't as funny

Peter has always been somewhat of a pervert.

Peter has always been somewhat of a pervert.

Big difference between that kind (silly) and how he was in this episode (just total character 360)

Lois was also once sane and the rock of the family and now she is just silly. Brian has become way too preachy and they just tossed Stewie of the deep end into silliness when he actually tried to kill Lois every other episode. This whole show has become The Daily Show; once great satire and now a medium to spread your political views with some jokes.

And the refrences are now scraping the bottom of the barrel.

It's been pretty hit and (a lof of) miss lately. Sunday's ep was better in some instances, but still largely more of the same.

The descriptions from the last two eps of the season could harbor some good stuff, but I'm beyond cynical at this point.
"Peter's Progress" May 10, 2009
Peter learns from a psychic through a palm reading that he had a fascinating past life as Griffin Peterson, a dignified gentleman who vied for the love of Lady Redbush from 17th century England, ruled by the fierce King Stewart, to the newly founded American colony of Quahog.

"Three Kings" May 17, 2009
Peter imagines his friends and family in three of Stephen King's most famous works.
Stand by Me parody - Twelve-year old Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland and Joe travel along a railroad track on a journey of self-discovery.
Misery parody - Brian is injured in a bad car crash only to be "rescued" by his "number one fan," Stewie.
The Shawshank Redemption parody - Cleveland and Peter become fast friends in prison.

Herbert as the old guy who hangs himself would be funny lol

(name escapes me now)

So true. I haven't liked Family Guy much since it came back but recent episodes have been pushing a political agenda too much that I can't stand watching it.

That second episode sounds promising.
