What happened to the Travel Channel?

I use to love ot watch it, just to get ideas of places to go. Not only that but it was also my escape if I couldn't go anywhere. Now it's rarely anything about travel at all. It's more like the Syfy channel. Expedition Unknown, A Haunting, UFO USA...............there's barely anything at all about places to go to relax. Anyone else disappointed in this or is it just me?

They are but this is the TRAVEL channel. It's more paranormal than it is escaping.

It's about ratings. Ghost hunting and paranormal stuff gets more eyeballs than travelogues.

No I get it but they show NOTHING of the old shows they use to. Strange travels, Andrew Zimmerman, foods unknown...........nothing. It's basically the new Syfy like VH-1 is the new BET.

I'm shocked at how that happen cause I thought VH-1 was more like MTV growing up.

No I do to but it seems like everthing on that channel now is super natural. Nothing for travelers who want to just go on a beach and get away.

It was but look at it now. All ratchet tv with tatted up hoodrats with fake body parts..............not that I'm complaining......

i don't liked fyi its called for your information! i mostly just watch storage wars but they have marthrons of ghost hunting tv serise & i also don't liked the building houses tv series!! i been watching travels channels remake of ripley's believe it or not!! its good!!

I enjoy travel shows. My favorite right now is Rick Steves' Europe.

tell me about it. everytime I turn it on, it's Ghost this or Haunting That. I get running the paranormal shows around Halloween time, but now they're on all year around!!

I use to watch it just to get an idea of where to travel but now nothing is on it. It sucks. Just make it another Syfy channel and there are tons of those channels as it is.

i never under stood!! why the super natural ghost busting shows are popular? you don't see any ghosts! I used to watch one it was ok called ghost mine!! they had these people working in coal mines & then the coal mines are hunted & they would bring in an ghost buster!! now looking back i think it was stupid!! now i used to watch the ghosts shows then they go i think i trapped t he ghost !! but they never showed the ghost!!
