I did a thread like this in the Marvel section, but I was wonderging about DC too.

What ideas do you think would be interesting to see but would also make the comic book or the character suck?
In other words what idea or ideas sound good on paper, or in your head, but would actually be bad ideas if they were actually used?
What ideas are better in theory or used as alternate realities?

I meant these threads to be your own ideas, but some people have posted in the Marvel Thread ideas that were actually used they sound good on paper but didn't actually work.

I had an idea that I know is complete ****, but would be a good way to tie aspects of the Pre Crisis DCU into the Post Crsis if it weren't for a few continuity problems with it: When Bruce Wayne whas 16, he learned hand to hand combat from Ted Grant, using an alias as to not draw the atention of the press. There, he met a girl of the same age also training under Grant. The girl was a runaway and living in an alleyway not far from the gym. They started up a romantic relationship, and eventually made sweet sweet lovin' down by the fire. Soon, however, the girl stopped coming to the gym, and Bruce was forced to go back to private school in Europe shortly afterward when the summer ended. The girl was Selina Kyle, who was using a false name as to hide from her abusing step father. Bruce got her pregnant, which is why she dissapeared. She didn't want to ruin his life furthur by making him a teenaged father. She gave the baby, a girl, up for adoption. The girl was adopted by the Bertinelli family and named Helena.

Pretty gimicky, I know, but it could have worked prior to Huntress: Cry For Blood.

What if the mantle of being Spawn were to up in the air again after the current Spawn died. Then Batman was killed and became the BatSpawn. Then we wouldn't have to ever worry about those damn crossovers again.

Superman/Batman: Out of the Closet.

Actually the problem that stands out to me with that is, how do you explain a reigning Mafia family taking in an orphan and making her the family's heir?

Maybe by playing up that they thought it was the child of one of the sons. That way it never is givin' up for adoption. More or less the baby was taken away.

But thats just me. I dunno want Q thinks.

She was never the official heir. It's simply that, since she was the only surviving member of her imidiate family, she got everything.

Anyway, I have an idea that I rather like, but many other people would hate it: Were I writing Green Lantern of the Justice League, I would portray GL (any GL, really, but Kyle and Hal especially due to how skilled they are with using their rings) as being vastly more powerful than any o the JLA's Big Seven, including Superman. The reason for this is thus: The GL's have entire sector's of space, several galaxies in size, to deal with. Their should have the ability to operate on a much higher level than Earthly threats. As such, GL's status on the League would be reduced to that of a part timer, only showing up for the really major crisises, and all of the GLs would spend a majority of their time in space in their own books, including Hal (I mean, we see him on Earth so much these days, I doubt he ever has time to actualy patrol the rest of his sector).

Of course, diehard Superman fans wouldn't like Superman not being the most powerful on the League, so while I like the idea, alot of other people wouldn't.

Batman Dies in a heroic way, New batman, it would be cool for a few months but would suck in the long run

I have always wanted the "big 3" powerwise of teh JLA to be GL, Flash, and J'onn (especially J'onn)

I always wanted Bruce and Barbara Gordon to fall in love and marry though I know full it will never and should never happen. It's just that I always wanted the best for Oracle, and she's my favorite character...of course you could argue that Bruce ain't neccessarily the best thing for her..
