What I mean is the way the characters were depicted as the "flawed people" they are. We'd actually get a Captain America who says "F is for France" etc and Iron Man would sleep with Black Widow, along with Hank Pym abusing his wife etc.

Don't see the basis for those whatsoever besides Iron Man sleeping with Black Widow because that's a no brainer, more-so than Brutasha. There's "flawed" and then there's Wasp flashing a horny insecure Hulk to distract and subdue.

The first X-Men movie borrowed parts including the scene set inside the Statue of Liberty from the Watchmen movie script that was never used.
