Desk said:My biggest issues with Abrams' script were Krypton's survival and the revelation that Lex was Kryptonian.
That being said, I think I might have actually preferred this project to what was produced. At least it would have felt fresh and new... a fresh, dynamic new Superman franchise for the 21st century, instead of one doomed to forever dwell on an old, outmoded approach.
What would the reaction have been had Singer's script been leaked? Well, we got most of the details in dribs and drabs, which alllowed people to absorb the contentious issues gradually and slowly adjust to them... There was an awful lot of self-deception as a series of bitter pills were swallowed.
Had it all been laid out in a oner the way you just presented it I imagine there might have been a backlash just as great against Singer's plans.
It's just a pity the Abrams script was ever leaked.
thanks for the opinion, personally i think Abrams' script was more radical in changing the mythology of Superman. I think, yes, fans would also react with backlash if Harris/ Dougherty also got leaked in the same manner like Abrams'.
