Not sure if this should be its own thread/question, or merged with the current Ras Al Ghul thread....

Any ways, I love Arrow. It's a great show.

Apparently the producers did approach Liam Neeson and Neeson was open to the idea of returning to the role of Ras Al Ghul for Arrow's third season. In the end though, the role went to Matt Nable.

I was thinking, what if Liam Neeson actually accepted the role. How would that impact Nolan's Batman films and the DC universe on television? The producers of Arrow would have a ton of questions to answer. Would you like it?

-Would Liam/Ras have met Oliver first (in flashback) or Bruce Wayne (in Batman Begins' flashback sequences to Bruce's training)?
-Would Arrow Season 3 be taking place AFTER the events in Gotham at the end of Batman Begins or before it? So Ras tried to destroy Starling City prior to trying to destroy Gotham? So Ras DID survive? Or does Ras make his way to Starling City in season 3 and then go to Gotham to seek revenge against Bruce Wayne? (So he gets his butt kicked by two rich playboy billionaires)
-So Ras has several children now... Nyssa in Arrow and Talia in Dark Knight Rises... but apparently they have separate mothers???
-If Liam Neeson was cast as Ras in Arrow, it would lead to speculation that Bane in Dark Knight Rises is under the influence of the mirakuru and perhaps it is being turned into an aerosol form and he's breathing it in on a constant basis, thus why he's able to defeat Batman in Dark Knight Rises.

Any thoughts? If Liam was cast as Ras in Arrow it would open up a lot of questions and perhaps give some interesting answers to things in both Arrow and Nolan's Batman trilogy.

Liam would have played the Arrow version of Ra's Al Ghul, the TDKT is completely separated from the rest, Nolan wants it to stand alone. Honestly, is better this way, no continuity issues nor the risk of ruining anything since Arrow is not at the same level of quality.

It'd just be a case of an actor playing the same role over again, and nothing to do with the first film.

Can you imagine if they hired Tom Welling to play Superman in "Arrow". Talk about all the confusion with Green Arrow. :)
