It would be like Oragnic Webshooters and the Joker not being PermaWhite .
I would be initally dissapointed, But,I would get over it .

Heres an idea on how Supermans secret identity could be handled.
I have a new idea on how the Clark/Superman disguise could work. The movie could write it such that Clark is a naturally skinny guy. However whenever he activate his Kryptonian powers,He transforms him into a bigger muscular version of himself-Superman.Due to the added muscle gained in the Transformation,Clarks facial muscles also Change. So Clarks face and Supermans face are quite different.
When in Clark mode hes completely human. He even wears glasses when in clark mode because he cant see properly. His Superman transformations are usually voluntarily but are involuntarily when his body is in danger.

You could also add that Supermans eyes are unnnaturally blue whilst Clarks eyes are normal.Further diffrentiates between the two.

No thank you.

Then what are we actually disagreeing about?

I've said tonnes of times, that there are ideas they can explore as to why the simple glasses disguise works. And audiences can swallow them or not, but I don't doubt they would try to weave some kind of explanation for why the glasses work in there.

They can play with ideas of hiding in plain sight, being cloaked by people's own assumption that Superman is an alien who just showed up and doesn't have a human life, and that the idea of him dressing up as a human and working in an office is too ridiculous for anyone to even entertain the idea that CK might be Superman even though he does look like him. The fact that no one really gets that close a look at him anyway, other than Lois, and she is blinded by her own infatuation with a fantasy.

Fantastic post and I agree, people only look out for what we expect to find. Superman doesn't wear a mask or hide his face so what would give the impression that he has a secret identity? Clark is literally hiding in plain sight and no one can call the obvious because its just to absurd.

Well...from the footage.

"We see Clark (without seeing his face) stepping into an elevator and begin to lift glasses to his face."

So so so releaved we can all stop with this discussion now :)

I still hope theres a plausible explanation for why no one recognizes him (kryptonian tech?) beyond a pair of glasses. Not critical, but it would be nice.

And no to the idea of him "transforming" in any way. But something built into his glasses that slightly alters the appearance of his facial structure would work. Purely an illusion though.

Nobody recognised Groucho Marx, a very famous comedian, without his trademark moustache. Even when introducing himself as Groucho Marx.

It doesn't need explaining, because it happens in real life.

HA.....ok where's that mofo on here who was always arguing with me about this? YOU OWE MY $50 LMAO

Lol....well I'm so glad they didn't get rid of it...but how did cavill look with the glasses on, and was he wearing a business suit?

From what I could tell, he was wearing the same clothes he was wearing in the set pic where he's on the bicycle in Metropolis. As for how he looked. I couldn't see (based on the leaked footage). I think the elevator doors closed as he started putting the glasses.

Like the illusion glasses idea suspect this is what we are going to get.I think this is why the Mos teaser avoide showing what he loks like with Glasses becuse he actually looks different

He's definitely not taking them off as far as I can see, unless he takes them off as he's walking and the scene of him putting them on is later or earlier in the film

just curious, were there actually people believing the title of this thread?
Moreover were they then bashing this film on that hypothetical?
smh.

well the glasses are going to be there so this thread is useless now and I move for this thread to be shut down. no more need for discussion.

I have always said and still think he won't wear the glasses until the end of the movie

Yup. Couldn't give a hoot when he puts them on, as long as they are still there, and still a disguise.
