• Super Maintenance

Xenforo Cloud upgraded our forum to XenForo version 2.3.4. This update has created styling issues to our current templates.

Starting January 9th, site maintenance is ongoing until further notice, but please report any other issues you may experience so we can look into.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

What Internet browser do you use?

I might be able to get it for my computer, but I'd have to ask my dad. Not that difficult in theory, but I've never been tempted to ask due to his imposing nature. I might give it a try over the weekend. He's not an angry fellow, just wary.

CBA = "Can't be @ssed."

Just explain that he can still use IE with Firefox installed. Its not that big a deal really.

Firefox, IE on the sites that need it, my bank's website mostly. I've tried using IE Tab but it's too buggy to be worth it. I like Opera too, but not enough to compel me to switch from Firefox.

Has it been 6 months already, seems this query is asked in that time frame. :yay: Oh and, Safari 2.0.4
I have Internet Explorer but I rarely ever use it.

Firefox, with IE only when I need two browsers for something.

I can understand still using IE because you're sticking with what you're most familiar with, but don't go saying that other browsers just plain suck. The tabs in Firefox and Opera are easy to figure out and smooth. I have a notifier for my GMail. I can use the search engines of IMDB, Google, Wikipedia, and Urban Dictionary directly from my address bar.

Most of the people who are still cruising with IE aren't tech savvy and are afraid to try something new.

Not to criticize you for your usage of them, just saying: I always hated aditional toolbars like that Google Toolbar that's always being shoved down my throat. I prefer Yahoo to Google, and even then I'd never use their toolbar. I don't like the cluttered feel it gives nor do I find it useful. The most I'm okay with is Google's search option, and even then just for the singular purpose.

As for the hate on specific browsers, be it IE or Firefox...I've never heard a real horror story to sway me towards never using a particular browser because of it.

Google is better. :o

Actually, I removed the Google search bar. I thought it took up too much space, too. That's why I set my address bar to do the Google searches. If I wanted, I could set it to search Yahoo.

Safari/ Firefox. I think firefox has wider range( what formats are supported etc.) but I prefer safari's sleeker look.

just recently started using Firefox more, but i'll use IE sometimes.

Sure Safari looks better but it's slow compared to Mozilla equipped with fasterfox.

Firefox. I had a "How to Install Firefox" thread a year or so ago but it was deleted.

Firefox with the preferences toolbar. I turn off the bookmarks toolbar. Add-ons like cookie culler and flashblock make a huge difference.
