There are other instances were written word can call your attention to things so subtle and so fine, you never would have noticed them otherwise. Instances were written word can make something beautiful out of the mundane. Can make poetry out of a simple description of a place or person.

Not too say everyone is more motivated by picture, but I think the vast majority of people today are more visually stimulated. I don't think you could walk up to someone today and try to describe to them some horrible act and have them respond to you in the same way if you had shown them a picture or video of the event.
