Hello all i thought it would be a good idea to have a thread to discuss what books people erad aside from comics. I think it would be cool to see what other kinds of books people and joy and maybe even get suggestions from one another.

I just Finished reading the 5th book in the Anita Blake series and I am now starting the 6th. I really like this series. Its a new approach to the whole vapire series. These books are chock full of vampires werewolves zombies animators faeries(and not the cute happy kind) and more.

Hope people enjoy this thread and i look forward to sharing the joy of a good book.

I have read three of the Anita Blake novels and loved them all. I want to read more but I've been taking my time with them since they are re-releasing them slowly into the oversized paperback format which I prefer over the standard small paperback. My favorite character is Jean Claude and I always get excited when there are scenes with him in them. :D

The last book i read was "House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski.

It was an insane read. The story was really good, but the way it was written was nuts. Pages that have 2 words on them, pages written sideways, pages written in only the corners. Good book, i highly suggest it.

Before that was "Rant" by Chuck Palahnuik. Same as all his other books, awesome. Its written as interviews from various people. Cool book as well.

Rant By chuck palahniuk.

its such a good book with a great twist at the end. I have decided for it to be my first movie as a major director.

i read that book it was fantastic ...i really enjoyed every second....man how great boosting must feel:oldrazz:....i agree that it would make an awesome movie

Last novel I read was Duma Key by Stephen King. It was pretty poor to be honest, and I'm a big King fan and normally like all his stuff :o

I'm now reading Mr B. Gone by Clive Barker for the second time, and I'm loving it!

Really? See I liked Duma Key quite a bit. It did remind a bit too much of that painter from Heroes, but I still really enjoyed it. :D

A Nightmare On Elm Street: Protoge

SUPERB book.

Finished Notes From Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky, a couple weeks ago.

The Great Gatsby, we read it in school, did not like it...working on a video project for it though, making a trailer, any ideas for scenes to use?

I am on the 4th book of the Dark Tower Series... AWESOME!!!

That whole series was really good. You should check out the Dark Tower comics that Marvel is doing, they did a great job of capturing what went on it the books. :) They are doing Roland's life in chronological order, the first series showed him and his gang rousting out Farson's men. It was great.
