What Is The Most Serious Injury You've Ever Sustained?

torn cartilige in my nose when i got into a fight with a guy
that sucker bled for like 12 hours and it didn't heal for like 6 months!!!
and i have a scar on my forhead that i absolutely HATE! but i don't want to go into why i have that.

-A couple years ago I was jumping in a bounce house. And being the uncoordinated idiot I am, I did a front flip. Instead of landing on my back, my mouth connected to my knee and I cut open the inside of my lip. That, in turn, became the world's worst cankersore ever.

i was jumping on a friends tramp-o-line and i hit my mouth gainst my knee and i split my knee and my lips.
my mouth bled like crazy, but she told me i couldn't cry because it would wake up her mom and that i better not bleed on the carpet.
it was sooooo gross... yeah, i bled on that brats carpet anyway

I broke my arm when I was seven and didnt actually realise I broke it for 2 weeks.....

Dislocated right shoulder.

I was going ridiculously fast on my skateboard...it kicked out from underneath me...the board went one way, I went the other way. Instead of rolling and stumbling all over the concrete like I always did when falling off my deck I threw my hand down like a little *****.

My adrenaline was going so much from my speed and the fall that I didn't really notice my shoulder was just HANGING THERE for another five minutes.

The worst part was them popping it back into place. Definitely some intense pain. The whole time I'm sitting there remembering those scenes with Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon how he just popped his shoulder in and out like he was this extreme tough guy.

If you've never had a dislocated shoulder...don't dislocate it, because it HURTS LIKE HELL.

Hmmmm...where do I begin I am pretty accident prone:

-Cut my head open when I six. It had to be glued. What happened was that I was in a DIY store with my parents and I skidded around the floor...Until I fell into a trolley ad cut my head open quite badly.

-Broke my leg. I jumped into the shallow end of a swimming pool. Needless to say it hurt hee hee. I had to have a metal plate put into my ankle. This was in October 2002.

-When I was about I was running down my porch and to stop myself I put my hands against the front door's glass. It smashed through and cut me in various amounts of places. The worst place was quite deep and I needed about 4-5 stitches. It cut me quite near to the vein in my hand...I am severely lucky. The good thing is it's in the exact same place as the organic webbing Spidey has in the Spider-man movies. So it looks like I have organic webbing (I am such a geek)

-Not severely but I kind of cut my head open and gave myself slight concussion when I was drunk. I was drinking Special Brew (9%) beer and I drank about 2 litres of it (4 cans) Needless to say I went to urinate up an alley. I did that. Then fell into a brick wall and cut my head open. Scared the s**t out of my friends. up:

-Fell off my bike head first and grazed my face quite badly and ulcerated all my mouth. My mum got me to put salty water in my mouth. Man that HURT!

-Put a very big splinter in my finger when I was brushing my hands against the wooden shed next to my house. I had to have a few stitches.

I've got a various amount of scars from Operations and digs, cuts and bruises as well.

I split my skin open and exposed my left knee in elementary school. You could clearly see the white bone inside. The skin was literally off. A bandaid and a wash, and it healed. Internal injury, I remember when I was sick during a day care program. The kids were playing tennis and I called sick, and had to sleep on one of the tables, waiting for the bloody tennis matches to finish. So, once we got back, I started throwing up. It sort of went on and on for hours that seemed like an eternity. Bad eggs. And hot sun. They don't correlate. I don't think I ever broke a bone in my life, but I did witness a bone-breaking incident once. It was decades ago and this girl was climbing on a part ladder and part monkey plaything. So, she slipped and fell 5 feet high, and landed wrist first, thus pushing her bone in her arm upward and almost through the skin, practically exposing her bloody arm bone from the outside. Ergo, blood and tears.

Holy crap that's horrible.

If I ever seen any of that, I probably would have passed out, ugh.

When I twisted my knee playing football and ran into a ****ing hole in the ground. I thought it was a sprain and it stopped hurting after some ice for a couple of days. 6 years later I found out I have some scar tissue i need removed, and my knee hurts every goddamn day.

When I was 12 I got hit by a swing at my local park and my best friend was on the swing. I was knocked out for 10 seconds. I went down to my local A&E. I fractured my right wrist badly. The bone was popping out and i had to have an operation to get it back in place. i was in cast for 6 weeks. For that i missed my YEAR 6 SATs .

I bumped into the edge of a coffee table when I was like 4 or 5. I had to get stitches, and I have a permanent indented scar that I absolutely hate.

When I was kid living in the Bahamas I was playing with my cousins and ran pass a rusty fence, almost slicing my eye out of the socket.

When I was in the 2nd grade, got jumped and someone bashed me in the head with a brick.

Just a concussion for me. But I think I'm about to up the stakes when I get my wisdom teeth yanked (I was supposed to get them out back in high school when i was 18, Im 23 now and the wisdom teeth started to decay along with my back moulars becasue they're touching eachother). To top that off, they're growing in outward (they're facing > towards my moulars instead of ^). SO I have to get surgury to get them out.

-Split my chin open a few times
-Third grade I broke my nose, and then a few months laster I fell on a rock that put a 12 inch gash into my left arm, the scar's just now disappearing.
-Fourth Grade I was in a car accident on the way home from Football practice. A scar above my right eye and below my right knee. Dislocated thumb and broken wrist on my right hand. Right ankle broke, and my right Hip dislocated. During my hospital stay my hip dislocated again and was out for four days, during which I went though physical therapy.
-6th grade I fell and broke my left wrist.
-7th grade I got kicked in the foot by a kid in steel toed boots, had major soft tissue damage, was on crutches for about 3 weeks.
-9th grade fell of a skateboard and broke my index and middle fingers on my right hand.
-In february this year my hip started hurting me again and I ended up needing surgery which I got on July 28th, I still have about a week left on crutches.
-And then throughout my lifetime, I've had about 5 concussions.

Wow. I've actually been pretty lucky. The worst thing that's happened to me is needing a few stitches on my finger when a can of Progresso soup sliced it open.

I've had quite a few injuries over the years...

- Was holding a glass bottle of vodka for my dad, and fell, and the glass broke and sliced my wrist.

- Broke one of my fingers playing football. Broke the very same finger earlier this year by getting it caught in the tables in the cafeteria at school.

- When I was younger I was chasing someone, and they moved and I fell and landed chin first on a shovel. Needed to get it stiches.

- Got hit right in the side of the head with a baseball bat. That hurt...a lot.

- Once in third grade, we were trying to hit a pinata, and the kid that was up didn't watch where he was swinging, and caught me right under the eye with the stick.

- Many, many other injuries that I've sustained during martial arts...too many to remember.

-1/2 inch shard of glass through the foot (didn't hurt much but it bled a lot)
-torn quad muscle

-minor spine injury (had to stay in bed for a month)

I did chip a tooth in 5th grade, that's it though.

When I was 5 or 6, I dropped something under the picnic table in the backyard. I get it and my forehead hits a screw that supports the table -- that caused my forehead to cut open. I cried and bled so freakin' much. I don't remember how many stitches I had, though...

I guess when I jumped off of a swing in mid air when I was four and went face first into gravel....I just remember the sticky blood stringing onto my lips and me freaking out.......but I haven't really done anything too bad since then..

I've got the balls man.

I've done some stupid things in my life, but I've always come out relatively unscathed, except for the car accident I mentioned. I've jumped off cliffs, gotten hit by cars, gotten attacked by two guys intent on doing me injury and came out with no injury.

Somebody up there likes me and wants to see me live.
