^ I haven't been this consistently satisfied with the books in years. Matter of fact prior to 2006 I had a very serious love/hate relationship with the bat books after the "new Gotham" period ended. Particularly cause of stories like Orca, War Games, Hush & As The Crow Flies.
What Morrison has done though rivals what people like Grant, Moench and Dixon did as writers when I was growing up. It's not only respecting what came before but pushing the characterizations and the mythology further. Not just leaving everything in a stagnant phase.
I liked them all but I'd rank em' like this so far
Batman & Robin (particularly the first arc and the previous one)
The Island of Mr. Mayhew
The Three Ghosts of the Batman
Gothic
R.I.P.
Arkham Asylum (which BTW is canonical as all of Morrison's work on the character including in JLA interconnects)
Batman #700
Batman & Son (loved Batman fighting ninja man-bats around pop art & loved the fact that there is a bat rocket. However compared to the rest I find it the weakest of the multi-issue arcs.)
Batman #666
Once RoBW is done I will determine it's spot.
