Krypto's been shown to have short hair. A spotless dalmation is the best thing.

Apparently he is based on a Parson Russell Terrier, obviously he is slightly larger remember that he is not from Earth but Krypto has never been drawn as that big. Although a Spotless Dalmatian is a good match.

More recent years he has been drawn as a Lab - well in the new cartoon he is anyway but in the comics he's never been depicted as being like a Lab.

He is supposed to be a purebred of a kryptonian breed. It's enough that an alien world has dogs to begin with, there is no reason that their breeds should look exactly like earth breeds.

I think they explained this already... we are saying that IF it could be related to a breed that is on earth which would it be.
