The Comedian need I say more? I can read and reread Watchmen just for the Comedian parts alone... I can watch the movie many times for his scenes alone... Comedian is like a bad guy and a good guy all rolled into one... He's the reason I keep going back to reread Watchmen and watch the movie...

I keep reading the book because its so layered, and you can discover new things here and there.

I watch the movie because I enjoy the acting of some of the characters, and they way they were brought to life.

Also I love Snyder's shots and camera work.

It's very multilayered (the story, not the body part that my terrible joke was based around) and eerily compelling, which keeps me watching (and reading) it every once in a while, sometimes even despite myself.

well...Snyders superb job at converting a complex masterpiece into a movie...the visuals of the dark watchmen world.....Jeffrey Dean Morgans amazing acting along with Patrick Wilsons....oh...and Rorschach. (oh wait...there was an actor playing Rorschach?..felt like he got ripped right out of the GN so I couldnt tell )

The book: to be intellectually stimulated and perhaps discover something I didn't notice the first or second, etc. times.

The movie: to show to other people and see their perspective and opinions. Also to be entertained by the positive aspects of it, and despite its flaws it can be an engaging film to watch that prevents having to read a long graphic novel. With that said after the initial viewings with friends, I doubt I shall watch it more than once a year now.
