What Marvel-based novels have you read?

I don't read these sort of books. They always seem unoriginal to me. Well, with movie novelizations that goes without saying. If I've seen the movie there's no point in reading the book based off it.

The X-Men Mutant Nation Trilogy was good
As was Diane Duane's Spider-Man/Venom trilogy

Plus X-Men: Smoke and Mirrors was really good.

I read Hulk movie novelization. It was great and it even mentioned Hank Pym.

I usually read the movie novelizations.

Recently I read the Ultimates: Tomorrow Men and I thought it was pretty entertaining.

The X-Men trilogy about the cosmic cube was a fun read also.

I read alot of books like that. I also read the movie novelizations because they usually have alot of good ideas they leave out of the movie and it shows us the characters thoughts. I've been picking up some of the mid 90's novels off ebay for about 50 cents each, their still pretty good. The new ones being put out aren't that bad either.

I myself have read the Diane Duane Spider-Man trilogy, the Ultimate Spider-Man anthology (Has nothing to do w/the Bendis title), X-Men Codename: Wolverine, Spider-Man: Goblin Moon, & the following movie titles:
Fantastic 4
Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2
X-Men
X2
X3
Hulk
Daredevil

X-men: Mutant Empire....it's a trilogy by Christopher Golden.....it was a damn fine set of books.

And Codename Wolverine...alsoby Golden I think, was also really good.

And I read Spider-man: Secrets of the Sinister Six....it's not bad....not great, but not bad.

Green Arrow's gonna be on Smallville?

Yes he is, starting this season. He is going to be part of a seven episode arc with him trying to recruit Clark for a team of super powered beings.:woot:

Seriously? Like their own little JLA?
Could go either way.

It sounds good since kryptonians are coming back plus Lex really becoming more villainious.

Oops...."Mutant Empire"....not Nation. :O
and it was a great read.

Secrets of the Sinister Six was just ok though, I never read the one after it.

Didn't him and impulse talk about setting up a league or club? Maybe he decided to tell all the others he met...

That seems odd as GA Has no Powers.....but I'll roll with it.

Yup, he is trying to form the JLA, and he's trying to talk Clark into joining. Plus we have Kryptonians, the Phantom Zone, Zod, Evil Lex, and Jimmy Olsen showing up this season in Smallville.

Good stuff.

He had that talk w/Aquaman, actually.

Flash made a joke about starting a club or league.

Aquaman made a joke about the Junior Lifeguard Association (Or JLA..get it.)

And Green Arrow has trick arrows, that's better than any super power.:cmad:

Anyways, back on topic-I've started on the Sinister 6 but haven't finished yet.

Some of them are pretty bad, but it's only because they are out of continuity (just like many of the comics :( )

LOL, and you never know which ones, the writers kinda just pick and choose what continuity they want to acknowledge.:woot:
