Stop this madness! And most certainly no X Babies, they're annoying enough on paper!
New Mutants
Can you shut up already? We already know you don't want Pixar to adapt a Marvel comicNononononononnonononnononononononnonononononnonono nononono!
do you know abot else ?
It'd be a total waste for them to do a parody character like Spider-ham. Rocket Raccoon or Howard the Duck would be cool though. The best part is that I can't see RR working in a live action film as well as he would a cartoon, but as an actions packed Pixar Space adventure? That'd be awesome. RR deserves more attention too IMO
Not exactly, many of their movies are really different, i think Incredibles and Wall-E are examples of how they can make a good Marvel movie
I think part of the issue is that, while Pixar does amazing things, they don't really do films that match the style and feel of Marvel stories.
. . . but Pixar really does a different type of film - closer to modern interpretations of Disney type films than animation that suits Marvel - so maybe it should be a whole new company (or division within the existing companies) that focuses on bringing marvel characters to the big screen as very high quality animation.
Pixar's style has been all over the place since it's inception and their filmmakers are certainly versatile enough to take a wack at any of the lighter properties in the poll.
I don't see that style or storytelling is any barrier for this union.
I don't necessarily disagree that some Marvel properties are too "dark" to adapt in a Pixaresque manner (depending on the story). But I would be excited to see the fusion of these two companies creatively.
A lot of people point to the Incredibles as an example of how they could do the FF or other heroes, but I strongly disagree.
The Incredibles was a comedy and satire of comic books and superhero/action films. Sure, it had a decent story, but there were laughs throughout. And not just laughs based on the interactions of the characters (as you will have in any goood, serious story) but laughs based on slapstick and goofy characters and situations.
Visually, the characters are exaggerated and don't look anything like real people, but are, instead, cartoonish.
And while you can point to a number of different themes and settings of the Pixar films, they all share the element of goofy comedy. Sure, they also have touching and poignent moments, but the stories and visuals always lean much more toward the comedic than any proper Marvel film should do.

Great idea!! Maybe they can make it a musical. Can Randy Newman write a song about revenge and grenade launchers?
