What next for the WWE, does it have a reason to exist?

They should really get this all over with and just go to the guy who probably advised Benoit to start going to that doctor to the first place. I have the feeling that if they took this far enough they'd find someone a little far up the chain giving the pushes towards juicing in the WWE.
 
I think this is becoming an excuse for former employees of the WWE who have an axe to grind and not about the tragedy
 
I didn't say you did Slap Nuts...and lo and behold, we have Marc Mero the midcard wonder, Debra (why didn't Austin smack me around more) Marshall, Chyna (more dosed up than Anna Nicole)and others jumping on Nancy Grace and Hannity and Colmes and all those other pundit platforms just to talk about how dark and seedy the WWE and Vince McMahon is.

Every business has its undesirable elements. That doesn't mean the industry as a whole is that way.

You never said they were talking about any "industy as a whole". You stated they are talking about the dark and seedy world of Vince Mcmahon. A world according to their experience having lived in it, you say that they say it is dark and seedy, they maybe know it is? I'd bow to their superior inside knowledge, as you have no experience of this yourself.
 
Look at the people who are trying to make the WWE look bad. Former wrestlers who a) never got above a certain status b) could not get along with their co-workers and were notorious for that attitude and c) bitter becuase of personal issues.

Bitterness can drive people to do lots of things, especially exaggerate.
 
Or it could be wrestling fans are in denial about the whole thing. Just like they were, some actually still are, about Benoit murdering his family.
 
I think its horrible what happened and you're right, there are people who try to separate the act from the man, and that isn't possible. I was a big fan of Benoit, but all that goes away when you decide to take the life of your wife and child. If there are issues to be dealt with, like issues of domestic violence and drug use, then let's deal with them, not just get on TV and talk about how horrilbe a person Vince McMahon is and how he eats babies
 
If treating Vince McMahon horribly every day on TV is what it takes for a better working environment for wrestlers as a fan I would take that "compromise", because it really isn't a compromise at all. We are talking about people's freaking lives here and trying to do everything that can keep them as safe as possible in a very dangerous occupation. But no, the majority of wrestling fans tend to ***** and whine and complain about how steroids are being blown out of proportion in the media and how the media is painting McMahon as some sort of villain. Yeah these are the people that tell non wrestling fans that they "don't understand" what its like to be a "real wrestling fan". About how much they care about the wrestlers and respect them and the "sport". Well how about you stop your *****ing about the media then, you bunch of bull****ters you. If thats what starts the ball rolling on making things better, which I would hope it is, shut the **** up about it already and stop feeding people this BS about being a wrestling fan. The more and more I see wrestling "fans" cry about Vince McMahon and steroids being bashed on TV, the more and more I am glad I don't understand what its like to be a real wrestling fan.
 
I'm not making any apologies for anyone, McMahon included. But you can institute change without crucifying someone.
 
Like I said, if it changes things doing it this way, it shouldn't matter. Got to think of the greater good than Vince McMahon of all people.
 
Here's a question. Even though it's fairly unlikely, but for everyone who called Benoit a monster and said he's burning in hell. What will you say if it's proven he didn't murder his family? Will you apologize? Will the WWE apologize?

No one is really in denial anymore. People have accepted the outcome and acknowledge it as a tragedy in every possible way. There's nothing wrong with questioning the possibility of a mistake made by the investigation.

For me, it just doesn't add up. Someone who kills their family doesn't wait a day to kill themselves, why kill the wife one day, kill the son the next day, and then kill yourself the next day? It just doesn't make sense when one is looking at it from a logical perspective. Most articles we've read usually indicates that the suspect killed him/herself immediately after killing their loved ones.

Yes, I could be wrong and maybe I am wrong. But I like to wait for the whole story to be told before I make any kind of final judgement.

People are saying that there's more to the story than steroids. What part of that don't you understand? Roid rage doesn't last an entire weekend, it happens in spurts and ends very quickly.

The bottom line is three people are dead. With or without steroids a tragedy has happened and that's the bigger picture that you can't seem to understand. Here is an intelligent discussion about the tragedy that people want to ignore.

I like the fact that when the WWE decided to put someone out there to speak for the company they chose John Cena. a little dig for all the Cena haters out there

The toxicology report isn't going to tell you why he killed them. I'm not sure what you are waiting for. And I don't know how many times I have told you, there is NO LOGIC in killing your family. Never. Don't look for it to make sense. It never does, but it happens all the time. You people who want to say its different in this case are in DENIAL.

I'm not arguing that 'roid rage is what pushed Benoit over the edge and killed his family. That wasn't my point at all. My point was that all you wrestling fans out there that say you care so much for the wrestlers and the industry are now in a situation, driven by the media (I'll even compromise and say they are over exaggerating the steroids) where there is a chance the working conditions for wrestlers in the WWE and perhaps other companies will get much better but all you fans do is ***** and whine about the media making a big deal about it.

Well, wait a second, doesn't that go against your so called nature of caring so much about the wrestlers? If you had any sense you would realize that even if the media continuously drags McMahon through the mud with the steroids issue, maybe undeservedly at times, isn't it all worth it for the changes it can bring about? Or are you still going to act childish and complain about the big bad media bashing wrestling? You cannot trust the WWE to change things on their own just the same way you can't trust the MLB to change their problems on their own. It won't work that way.
 
The WWE should be shut down. It is modern day slavery and the people are being killed by a lunatic who drives them to the brink to make a buck.

That's just plain ******ed. It is a job like any other. No one is forcing them to stay there. You can always quit. Big Show quit, Jericho quit, the list goes on.
