This may be an impossible question to answer unless you had the shooting itinerary in your hands, but I was wondering how much of the film was shot in England? Was it pretty much all the interior scenes? Which scenes that weren't obviously Chicago still shot in Chicago?

Please don't flame me, I know this is a vague thread...

battersea power station was used for the places where harvey and rachel were, people in battersea thought it was a terrorist attack when they blew up!! i also think pinewood studios was used for some of the interior scenes.

I think Battersea was also used for the scene were Joker burns his money.

I think that the club scene with Batman, Maroni and Mandy from Hollyoaks was filmed at the Ministry of Sound.

I remember reading that at some point.

I'm not too sure, but when the hospital blows up, i think you can see battersy power station in the background from one of the airial shots.

That couldn't be possible because the Hospital scene was filmed at the old Brach's Candy Factory in Chicago.

I thought some of the interior shoots were done on the sound stages at Pinewood? Or am i just crazy to think that?

Also, to go slightly OT here, Watched BB the night before i saw TDK... and realised the Camo Tumbler footage was filmed in the North Hall of the Excel Centre in London...(Where they've just held the British Motor Show for those who don't know)... Wasn't aware they filmed anythig there...

I think pretty much ALL the interior scenes were filmed in England, I was just wondering if there were any that weren't? Clearly the mayor and Dent's offices were based in Chicago...

I do believe it was actually filmed in a real building, though it was only a few floors up. the green screens were hung in the windows so the affect that they were really many more floors up could be added in post-production.

Actually, that was filmed in Chicago too because I walked past the set and took pictures (which, I can't seem to remember where I put them). The reason for the greenscreen was because it was suppose to show a skyline from up high.

But they designed a set in the lobby of a building where they built a fake spiral staircase and huge bookcases to cover up where the elevators were.

Here's a link to some of some other peoples pics (start near the bottom of this page and then continue on to see more):

I know the penthouse scenes were filmed in Chicago but when rachel and Bruce "fell" and landed on a car, that part was shot in England.

the new ' batcave' was filmed in cardington hanger as was the climax , inside the building - the fight scenes were filmed in cardington .

the Two Face, Gordon Family, Batman ending was filmed at Battersea power station.

This is not true, it was filmed at a bar in Chicago called, "Soundbar". There is an article of it in the Chicago Tribune.:boba:

This is not true, it was filmed at a bar in Chicago called, "Soundbar". There is an article of it in the Chicago Tribune.:boba:

"Ministry of Sound are very privileged to say the club was used for the Gotham City nightclub fight scene which has created a lot of hype among excited fans, with Ministry of Sound even receiving phone calls and emails asking if it was filmed at the club. It may be a short scene but it’s full of action which at the end of the day is what all Batman fans like the best!
For three days the club was taken over by several hundred crew, cast and extras which seems a lot for what is only 8 seconds of footage in the movies final edit, but hey at least the scene made the movie and didn’t end up on the cutting room floor!
Had it not been for the confidentiality agreement the club had to sign, this story would have been a great marketing campaign for the club at the end of last year but sadly we had to wait until the movie was released before we could say anything."

Well either they are lying or the Tribune is misinformed.

Read this article, it has all the locations filmed in Chicago and the Soundbar is mentioned in here as the place where that scene was filmed. I'm going to trust them being as if all the other sites are accurate and 60% of the movie was filmed there.

**After looking at some of the photos for this Ministry of Sound, it does look like this is the place for it, but why would the Tribune post false information?
