Comics When you guys read Spider-Man comics....

Oh a better question, who do you hear for JJJ? I love Simmons but I still prefer Ed Asner (TAS!) and hear him to this day as JJJ in the comics.

Basically play through the story in a free-roam environment. And instead of costumes ya get whole different Spider-Men to play with.

I hear my own voice for Spider-Man, and it varies for the rest of the characters.

I definitely use my own voice for Spider-Man/Peter Parker. When MJ is talking I picture my ex-girlfriend back from about four years ago. She had such a nice, sweet voice...perfect for a Mary Jane. And when I use a voice for Aunt May it's usually Rosemary Harris from the Spidey movies now a days but before that, when they drew Aunt May older in the comics, I used my grandma's voice.

As for the rogues and everyone else it just varies as to what I've heard or have been exposed to at the moment.

Though with Ultimate Spider-Man I always hear the voice from the video game because that's pretty much how I picture him talking like...though that voice was still kind of "puberty" like. Pete should be out of that stage already...unless he's an extremely late bloomer. Come on, Spider powers can make him muscular and agile but can't stop the crackling in his voice? Sheesh...stupid spider powers.

Who's voice do you hear in your head whenever Spidey talks? I still hear Christopher Barnes from the Spiderman TAS, i cant get him outta head, to me he's the definitive Spiderman voice. Especially last issue of ASM when [BLACKOUT]Aunt may got shot[/BLACKOUT], that scene of Peter going " NOOO!" was pure Chris Barnes. Who do u guys picture wen u read Spiderman?

Same here Chris is the voice I hear too. :spidey:

For me, the voice I hear is dependant on the era of the comics, due to the change in art styles, mood, whatever.

60s comics: Paul Soles

70s comics: Nicholas Hammond

80s comics: Chris Barnes

90s comics: Barnes (until Bagley leaves) then, Rino Romano

USM: Neil Patrick Harris

I haven't seen enough of the 80's cartoons to remember their voices, which is a shame, I've seen enough of them to remember how good the shows were (and the voices, too), but not extensively enough to remember the voice casts. They were never on when I was younger, and ABC Family runs them at poor times for me to catch. If Disney would release the damn shows on DVD, I'd be able to see them in detail.

And, might I add, that I don't think there's ever been a bad Spider-Man voice actor. I even like Tobey Maguire, though he's far from #1 on my list...

The thing i dont like about Tobey Maguire is that he's too much of a softy. He doesnt have the funny, annoying quips that spidey is famous for. He's too much of a geek.

Tmags doesn't emote any confidence in his voice, he generally has a weak, soft, monotonous voice.

As for JJ, I too hear Asner's voice. I thought it was ******ed that he was reduced to voicing the cop in the mtv show but ironically enough, he as the cop had JJ's personality than JJ himself in the show.

Look at the episode with turbojet. When the cop is being asked questions, notice how he doesn't answer any of the interviewers questions but launches a tirade that blames spider-man, its funny yet so sad. They should have just made Asner reprise his role.

I picture the dude from Spider-man the animated series. Him or Tobey.

uh, which animated series? There have been a few.
