MORTAL KOMBAT ANNIHILATION
QUALITY = -10/10
JOY = 10/10

Such a beautiful movie, there are always more things to find and make fun of.

And there is a total of 14 fights in this movie. 10 minutes shorter than the first movie with two more fights.

George of the Jungle (dir. Sam Weisman)

Maan, Leslie Mann was HOTTT in this.
I've always loved this movie.

Odd double bill, I know

Making "Do the Right Thing" (1989)

A ★½ review of Bloodshot (2020)
Bloodshot

The movie is trying to be dumb fun but with the fun part never really showed up. It's kinda similar to the Assassin's Creed movie, only Bloodshot wasn't taking itself so seriously. To me this this falls in line with a lot of the same ol typical action blockbusters that come and go and checks all the boxes it needs to check. Vin Diesel was being Vin Diesel and no matter how bizarre the plot got, he never changes. It's hilarious how they got Guy Pearce playing Aldrich Killian again. Eiza González was kinda decent even though the role wasn't much. Lamorne Morris & Siddharth Dhananjay were trying their best to save the movie with their humor, but the problem with that is they thought they were in a Deadpool movie. Overall, it's just an uneven generic mess of an action movie.
1.5/5

Joker

But for me this is a one and done, as great a story as it was. No sequels, and pleeeease don't try to tie this into some Batman-univierse. I mean, eh..
Agree. If this were Sony, they would've already fast-tracked a sequel.

X-MEN
QUALITY = 8.5/10
JOY = 10/10

You know what the true name of this movie should be:

Wolverine & Charlie's Team vs Magneto & Mystique

Last time I watched it I made the mistake of counting it canon with First Class, and complained about the quality of this based on the stuff made in First Class although this came first. Never again. FC is a reboot, and Days of Future Past using the actors of the old franchise shouldn't make me think these movies are in the same canon.

Effects aged mostly well, stunts look beautiful, and this entire movie is easy to watch. The music is lovely to listen to.

The movie turns 20 this year, perfect timing for an X-Men movie marathon.
