Blade II

These Blade films are total bangers, I had an absolutely fantastic time with this sequel. I do wonder how Disney is going to make this character work in their formula...

This movie and the series it's connected to was so underrated. Was always a favorite of mine. Glad it's been getting more love from comic fans over the last few years though.

I agree it's well worth a watch! Really nice artwork (I'm not a huge fan of this Joker's look, but it works here). Arkham Asylum and Gotham Cemetery look like they've been pulled straight from a 1940s horror movie!. Voice acting is spot-on. And although this isn't the DCAU, there are some seeming influences from Burton's movies (the design of the Batcave, Wayne Manor looking very similar to the one in Batman Returns, Penguin's 'flipper hands', Vicki Vale being Bruce's love interest). Also, there's the line that Nolan also used three years later in The Dark Knight, as Joker tells Batman 'You complete me'. The 'turned' humans rising as vampires are creepy as hell, and I remember a very on the nose scene paralleling blood-lust with drug addiction/withdrawal. I might have to watch this again!

Damn dude! Seriously ace post. It's like you literally reached into my brain with this one because literally every single one of these thoughts went through my mind as I watched it & it just made me love and appreciate the film that much more after not having watched it for so long. :D
