Q - The Winged Serpent

So bad it's...well pretty bad

PRAISE:I remember the trailers for this flick when i was very young but this was the first time i watched this story of a Small time criminal (Michael Moriarty) uses a winged serpent to keep other hoodlums off his back.It all plays out in an amusing way and so shockingly bad that i couldnt stop watching it.It seems like the entire cast including David Carradine, Richard Roundtree, and Candy Clark was ad libbing the entire time.How the actors were able to keep straight faces is absolutely amazing
Im guessing director Larry Cohen is a fan of Ray Harryhausen's stop motion
technique because the action sequences are definitely a nod to him.
Oh and some of it was filmed on one of my favorite Manhattan buildings The Chrysler Building

PROBLEMS:Terrible acting.Horrible timing and grating dialogue.The action sequences that definitely look like claymation were so bad i laughed out loud so many times my throat began to hurt
The terrible ending i mean i dont know it's just uhmmm comedic?

Scale of 1-10 a 5

My heart always breaks a little when Queeg is on the stand and he suddenly realises just how insane he sounds to the rest of the court.

Battletruck (1982)
Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front (2006)

I've only seen it on DVD (it was a birthday present). I'd like to see it on a big screen.
It was one night screening in my town so I got lucky to see it on the big screen. Olga's death and the Volk dance sequence were incredible.

VFW

I loved this flick, even when the effects got goofy looking. I can't believe Fred Williamson is in his 80s.

KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS
QUALITY = 9/10

JOY = 9/10

One thing that bothered me is the Moon King's thoughts on eyes, he wants his grandson to be as blind as he is, but his daughter has her vision. I think even the twin might have their vision.

The Vast of Night (2019) :up::down
drama, thriller
actors: Sierra McCormick, Jake Horowitz

Maybe would have been a single thumb up only if the middle chunk wasn't just an episode of the Art Bell radio program where people tell stories. I started to fall asleep. Wonder what these guys could do if they had more a budget to work with. Liked the actors.
