World of the Worlds (2005) – I love rewatching this movie, there’s so much to like. The third act can’t come close to capturing the suspense, mystery & slow dread of the first act. The first act is some of the best sci-fi I have ever seen. Spielberg just nailed it.

A strange choice in the direction of one of the characters drags it down somewhat, and the ending could’ve been braver to drive home the apocalyptic nature of the movie.
