What was this news station thinking?

Yeah *******s. Reporting on local and community issues like a family who doesn't have heat. Something you and I both know is important, as we have both not had heat in the past.

And to top it off someone actually felt kindness enough to hook them up with some heat. Mother****ers and they did it for free too. What were they thinking?!

Did you watch the video and see the tv?

I saw a TV. I have no idea when she got it, where it came from, or how much it costs. I think that assuming that she bought an expensive TV instead of proper heat isn't really very fair.

I'm assuming she is choosing cold over tv because said tv could be sold for money to buy heat and a smaller less expensive standard definition tv.

The TV could be sold for money, but perhaps the TV was a gift that hold sentimental value. Perhaps the TV was actually quite inexpensive in relation to the cost of heating her home. Maybe she's an evil ***** and hates warmth.

These are all assumptions though, it isn't really fair to make assumptions about her life's decisions. Furthermore it isn't relevant to the issue. The issue being that there are kids in that house that are suffering through frigid winter nights with no heat. They have no ability to sell something or to buy a source of heat.

We could spend time passing judgment, but I'd rather someone else take care of those kids by providing them with some heat if they aren't able to get heat now.

I'm with the Walrus on this one. Sorry, Trainwreck, but I too have been without heat in a situation where a helping hand would have made a huge difference. And while I do see your point, I too, think your judgment is unfair.

You do know that the heating bill probably costs more than that TV ever would, right?

Heating bill? Do you have any idea how much it costs to install a heating system?

No, the only heat she had in the home was a poorly installed propane heater that she was afraid to use. She had no other source of heat.

Could'a called a professional like, as soon as she got worried.

Yeah but they canceled King of the Hill...

****ING ***** HAS WIND CHIMES? WIND CHIMES!?!?!?!

****ing ***** has wind chimes!??!?!?!:cmad:

cause she couldn't go out & buy a plug in heater for $20, we already know she has electricity

Who knows? We're all passing judgment based on something we don't really know all that well.

......?

I don't get the outrageousness on the part of the news station. I was expecting to open this thread and see topless newswomen or something.

You took an inventory of her possessions based on a short news piece and know not only how much its market value is, but how much she paid for it? That's impressive. Or are you just being a judgmental prick who assumes the worst about people you've never met? I'm assuming the latter, but just assuming. After all, I only know you from this thread ;).

Frelling good samaritans, I can't stand people that go out of their way to help others.

LOL, unfortunately your rant kind of backfired, Trainwreck brah.

Man this is BS!! She has a Vagina! She could have been working the corner for that Heater! Man I hate lazy people!:cmad:

& what the hell are these people being kind for! Don't they know we live in a cynical I gotta hate everything world. Get with the times hippies!:cmad:
