What If... Peter Parker weren't raised by Aunt May and Uncle Ben?
His parents die just as normal, but his Aunt May and Uncle Ben predecease them in a home invasion robbery. Peter grows up in an orphanage not far from where he was supposed to grow up. He attends the same school, and even manages to become the same brainiac, and get the same girl (Jessica Jones) to fall in love with him. And, as fate plans, Peter is bitten by the spider not long after he turns sixteen.
due to a collution of fate, Dr. Doom is seeking a pupil. he sees his constant solitary attempts to destroy his enemies failing because they can help each other. so he seeks to find a student to mold into his image, and make into a fitting heir. Doom looks across the country for a sharp young mind, he finds no sharper than Peter Parker. He adopts Peter, who is desperate for some kind of affection and parent. Doom softens only slightly as he raises Peter, both of them pushing each other further in their studies. Doom, for a great period of time actually forgets his vendetta against Reed Richards as teaching has lead to genuine research in their techno-magic exploration, pushing the boundries of science and sorcerery, and blurring the line between the two. both become experts, and Doom even grants Peter, a loving son and absolutely loyal prince, what Peter considers the ultimate honor, to look upon his "father"'s face. Peter shudders, but says nothing.
on a trip to New York, Peter is exploring as his "father" is at the UN threatening them. with the power Doom has gained, Latveria has become a major player in the international stage. Peter, now a grown man, but still very much a child due to his isolation with Doom, spots a woman flying over head, he follows her, his powers augmented by the Tech-magic he is an expert in. he peeks into her head and finds that she isn't in control of her own body. he restrains her and finds that she was directed to destroy Daredevil... Peter frees her mind with magic, and Jessica "Jewel" Jones promptly vomits. Peter has freed her from her eight month capture of "Purple Man".
Peter sees this as more of a reason that American "super-heroes" are nothing but hypocritcal phonies, is torn between rage and pity. he takes The Jessica back to his suite at the Latverian consulate and orders his servants to see to whatever she wants. Jessica and Peter have recognized each other, and not only is Jessica's love re-ignited for her savior, but Peter is starting to feel the spark of love his life has been missing.
Peter goes to speak to Doom. Peter stands silently beside his "father", waiting for the assembly to bow to Doom's demands. as they exit Peter tells his "Father" or what he found out, and how the Purple-Man used Jessica. Peter expresses that he himself cannot attack the Purple-Man because he doesn't have the will power, but he knows that Doom does. Doom promises to take care of Killgrave, and Peter returns to the embassy where he is begininng to realize that he is in love.
Doom arrives some hours later to see his "son" and Jewel sitting by the roaring fire, just holding hands and talking. The marriage is not long away. during the short engagement, many nations surrender their soverenty to Doom (To suggest that Doom didn't kill the Purple-Man like Peter had wanted). At the wedding, Jessica Jones takes the new codename "Crown Jewel".
less than a month later, in an embroiled fight with the fantastic Four, Doom is actually killed, or thats how it looks anyway. In fury Peter isolates himself, even from his new wife. the next time he shows up it is not on earth, but in asgard with Loki behind him in chains. he bargains with Odin for aid in defeating the four in exchange for permenant control over his rebellios step-son. together Peter and Thor make short work of the four, putting them in cages specially designed for each. Peter's expertise in tech-magic seems to surpass even Doom's, and his relatively small ego allows him to deal and bargain, rather than go for total dominance. He tells the Fantastic four that he would like to kill all of them, but in the name of Latverian Justices (Yeah, Peter's been sheltered in Castle Von Doom) only one of them has to die. he gives them till sunrise to decide who. he isn't bragging, he isn't taunting, he is laying out their fate. at sunrise he returns. they spent the whole night trying to find ways out, and three of the four remain rebellious. it is Ben Grimm that suddenly calls out "I'll do it... I'll Die."
Peter treats Ben with respect including a lavish last meal (part of the reason for all of this is to show how powerful Peter is, but also how much he respects Ben for choosing to die). He kills Ben with a painless neurotoxin. he tells the Fantastic four that they are forever shamed for their cowardice, and he even errects a monument to Ben Grimm (made of course by A. Masters). Slowly, through deals, and conquest Latveria grows to control a majority of Europe.
