So the screen been cracked on my Iriver H120 mp3 player for a while and I've been using the remote, well it just filled up and there's nothing I want get rid of so it time for a upgrade. I could really care less for this new breed of mp3 players that do everything including wiping your ass, I just want one that plays music, if someone could suggest a player that just plays music that's 40 gigs, that I can get for cheap on Ebay rather htan paying 200-300 bucks. I would simply get the h140 but it doesn't organize your music for you based on the meta tags cuz 90% of my collection has all the music information and about 80% of it are full albums as compare to when I first got my mp3 player. I was thinking about getting the h320... Anyone else got any suggestions?

Its not 40gigs but my 30 GB iPod video has done me well.

Over-priced and forces me to convert **** to ACC and use Itunes... **** that

Doesn't force conversion to ACC  its MP3 and ACC compatible. And iTunes is a good media player

No, no. iTunes is the best media player. Both iTunes and iPod play mp3.

And you can get 60 gig iPods now. (Or lower memory pods at the newly reduced prices).

So you want a supbar competitor model? Because nothing out right now is as good as an iPod.

^Ipod is becoming a generic term. Like xerox.

There's no equivalent althernatives really.

Microsoft Zune maybe..?

Maybe it's because I don't want an over-priced, over-simplified, piece of junk that has many useless features such as playing video. I considered my Iriver H120 better than an ipod, the only two negatives was it didn't sort by id tags and the scroll on an ipod is better... I just want a 40 gig player that just plays music for under 200... So I'll probably buy one used off ebay, i'm just asking fr a good model...

And several people have told you that the best model is iPod. But whatever.

I've had ipods, and they've never compared to my iRiver products. Well, that's not completely true. Some iRiver products are just cock foreskin. Others are good... others are great. But they're pricey and generally undersized in gigs... and the accessories will rape you if you get too involved, nevermind the fact that some of them are just stupid.

But for quality and everyday use, my 2gig clix does more for me than my old 40gigger ipod.

I'm hung-over and i come to find a nice suggestion or two and what do I find some *****e bag with a techicality! :cmad: Is Q4 still up?

So I bought the Zen Xtra 40 GB for 110 bucks, so 120 all together. So much better than dropping 250 on a 30 gb Ipod, or some other player.

Exactly what I want, an older mp3 player with lots of space for not a lot of money. It also has the added features of sorting by album, artist, and genre since 90% of my music is ID3 tagged anyway and it has shuffle, not to mention apparently awesome audio play-back quality.

Interestingly enough the website doesn't list the 40 GB version for some reason...

Yet clearly in the picture it says 40 gb...
