Jeez for a movie based on a guy with NO superpowers it's taking forever to get the ball rolling. FF2 has a sequel before punisher and there are talks of GR2 already (which sucked by the way) WTF!!! I think producers should step to Frank MIller to come up with a whole new take on the Punisher to give it the darkness it needs to be a hit. Miller could have a script done over the weekend that would be a box office hit! Sin City, 300 yep thats the man to see.

I've searched every where and theres nothing on Punisher 2. I just hope this doesn't get shelved.

The problem with getting the ball rolling is that Lions Gate is hesitant to put so much money into it and not get a return. The first one wasn't a huge hit in theaters, but cleaned up on dvd.

Like what? The script? It hasn't been greenlit yet. And there's no hint on the official cast or when production officially starts. All I'm saying is the Punisher was released in 04 and there are dozens of sequels coming out from movies released way after that.

I have to agree its nearly april and the script was to be completed by christmas its depressing really as the first one while not perfect did turn a tidy profit. There has been a real lack of progress on this film for the last couple of years IMO and the sequel is now overdue. I would love a sequel but until i see that it has been officially be given the green-light and they actually start shooting, I just assume that is isnt going to happen. Man i really hope it does though...

i'd love a sequel to come out i rekon it will, its jus wat they can do or not, becoz b4 stuart beattie started riting it, steven de knight did a script which was violent and superdark, but you know film producers want castle to be seen as a "good Guy", but saying about violent films, saw 1 2 and 3 are out and crap, wen i'd rather have punisher 1 2 n 3 lol

If it's dropped by the studio I hope an independent picks it up. Indies may not have the cash but they tend not to adhere to Hollywood guide lines either, meaning the Punisher will be as violent as a gun slinging, vigilante should be.

LGF is an independent movie company. And I think LGF is the right home for The Punisher. They just don't have the right people working there anymore.
