I had a friend who loved that series. I plan on reading them eventually but haven't gotten around to it yet.

This is the first Arthur C. Clarke book I've ever read, so I can't comment on the series, but I loved this book. Damn fine novel, great sense of tension, mystery, and suspense throughout. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes classic sci-fi.

Anyone here read I, Robot ?

I did a long time ago, so I don't remember specifics, but it was my first Asimov book and I remember liking it a lot.

Yeah, me too -- read it years ago. Couldn't quite get into the last story -- the one with a lot of statistics and stuff like that. Maybe I should try again now..

MacBeth. Im reading it in school right now. Its actually alot better than I thought it would be.

The Corporation by Joel Bakan.

Great stuff.

Northanger Abbey. I don't normally like Jane Austen, but thought it was clever.

That's definitely in my top 5 Shakespeare plays. You should check out Richard III if you haven't already. Good stuff, man!

^ yes. Fantastic documentary.

The Poet by Michael Connelly.

Gripping thriller with good characters and an engrossing plot, I read it in a day it was so hard to put down.

^ I actually read the sequel lately. Not that great. :(

Sideways by Rex Pickett.

Not as good as the movie adapted from it. The book is good, but doesn't develop the characters as well as the movie, due to both changes the movie made for the better and an overall difference in tone. The book is largely a straightforward comedy, while the movie falls more into the comedy-drama realm. A movie that was a direct adaptation of the book would have reminded me more of a Judd Apatow comedy, with the characters going on a lot of funny "side quests" from the main story.

Under the Dome by Stephen King

I'm only about two or so pages in, but I'm liking it so far.

Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis.

His first novel, long ago, and it's an awesome read. Pick it up, you must.

American Psycho - Brett Easton Ellis

DAMN, the movie was good, but the book is even more disturbingly badass

Gaspipe: Confessions Of A Mafia Boss - Philip Carlo
