Dragonball: Evolution

Beyond horrible. They couldn't even make the fights entertaining...

if you knew how horrible it was before hand why did you still watch it?

This movie is perfect. I really cannot think of single flaw. From the flawless narrative, the great camera work and direction, to the incredibly rich characters, sheer perfection all the way through. It balances suspense, comedy, and drama really, really well.. Oh yeah, THE ACTING IS SO GOOD. The entire supporting cast is as great as the leads, not one weak performance. The best movie of 2009, maybe even the decade.

10/10

Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

10/10. Great flick. Loved Penn as the stoner.

Tears of the Sun.

Highly underrated movie, that I consider to be among the best work both Bruce Willis and Antoine Fuqua have done. I can't wait to see them reteam for The Tomb.

On a side note, this movie also has the perfect cast for a Predator movie. As good as the first at least.

****/5

The Fifth Element

Hella fun. Just about every aspect of the design is brilliant. Minimalist, yet cramped and dirty and incredibly colourful. Also, Gary Oldman is the coolest mo'fo' to walk the Earth.

A Serious Man

8/10

Very funny dark comedy. Though I'm not too familar with Judism, the movie didn't lose me one bit. In fact, it was fascinated to see another culture and customs from a different religion.

and Mrs. Samsky was quite foxy..

Hmmm, you make it sounds pretty good. Colour me interested. This comes out tomorrow around here. Can you elaborate a bit? What kind of genre is this film in, if any?

Tropic Thunder

Les Grossman's recent return put me in the mood. I'd love to see the character return in a film, but he doesn't warrant his own feature. Like a TT sequel with a strict dictator James Cameron type director and an insane Klaus Kinski type actor (Nicolas Cage anyone?) with a different set of actors or something.

I wanted to pass the time, so I figured it could at least have some cool fights for pure escapist entertainment. I was wrong.

The '50s serial BLACKHAWK

The Wolfman - Unrated Director's Cut

To me, those extra 17 minutes helped the film's pace and story.

9/10

Chasing Amy

8.5/10

I'm going back to the 10 scale for ratings. And pictures. Pictures are nice. This is Smith's best shot movie that I've seen. It isn't as funny as some of his others, but shows a more dramatic side of Smith that works really well.

Wellll. The basic premise is an ex-detective, Benjamin, and a judge, Irene, meeting each other 25 years after a murder/rape investigation that they worked together on in Argentina. So it's basically a love story with a murder mystery backdrop. It's better if you go in not knowing that much about it like I did. So, I'll just leave it at that. :o

Oh yeah, if you love great camera work, you'll love it. There is an incredible sequence where the camera flies over a crowded soccer game, then follows the detectives on a chase through the stadium in one single shot. I think the shot lasts like 5 or 6 minutes. That one scene elevated the movie from great to greatness. It's amazing.

Raiders Of The Lost Ark
Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom
Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade
Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull

First time I've watched all four Indiana Jones films in a row.

My uncle said this is one of his favorites. He reccomended this and Once Upon A Time In The West to me. So this film is next up on my queue. And Bruce Willis in a Predator film? Genius! :wow:
