Search sucks on these boards, it always has, it always will Apparently it's something to do with the sheer number of uber-lengthy threads and volume of traffic to the site

It never used to suck

It was only after the Board update to VB 3 that it started being bad.

However I WOULD appreciate it if it was fixed, it's hard to keep track of the RPG players when the search blocks certain months, comes up with a white screen or times out.

Like the endless amounts of ****s who search their own name when they sign on to see who may have mentioned them or made fun of them, I too would at least look up "lips" to look for my name. After weeding through the 5,000 Angelina Jolie posts, I'd find a post or two about myself and my e-ego would expand. However, since about 2 weeks ago, I can no longer even search "lips" without getting a blank white page. I always got it for just about EVERYTHING, but it would allow for a few words here and there, but now about 5 out of the 10 words that even worked for me now don't work.

Yeah, this is never going to get fixed. Malice ***** foots around for a while being all, "Exactly what the cock is wrong yo?" Then prolly follows up and either can't or doesn't do anything.

Fixing the search would probably mean closing the forums down for a day just so it can rebuild the index.

Ironically the search f**ked up after the boards went down for 3 days to do that.

Try three days. That's about how long it took the last time Malice rebuilt the index if I remember correctly. The forums were offline for an entire weekend (and people about lost their freakin' minds when he had it offline for that long, too). I do know you have to use a search term with more than four, sometimes five, characters in it, or you'll get a blank page. Sometimes even that many characters generates the blank page, too.
