Just borrowed it off my mate, Its rubbish.
I want to keep playin it to see how the story develops but its just so awkward. I'm on a bit on poison ivys level where you have to jump from mushroom to mushroom and im quite sure its actually impossible.

Why oh why cant they make a free roaming GTA style batman game?

They did.

It was called 'Batman & Robin'.

Cause they hate us. But here's betting that the upcoming Lego game will be as awesome as their Star Wars releases (sad that a Lego game will most likely be the best Batman game ever).

But yeah, this game is 50 lbs of crap stuffed into a 5 lb bag. It's only good for the cutscenes; one can never get enough BTAS.

This and Begins were pathetically linear in an age where that crap has gone out the window. I don't want to be told where and when to throw a batarang. You might as well be playing a boardgame.

Just wait till you get to the Batmobile level. It is mindblowingly awful.

I really liked Batman Vengeance. The story was great. Joker was awesome in it. All the villains were. Great how it was all one interwoven story.

The Poison Ivy level with the mushrooms is tricky, but not impossible, mate. Just takes practice.

i loved this game. some of the controls were kinda crappy, but over all it is a great game IMO

the only problem I have with Vengeance is that the controls are kinda tricky sometimes, and Batman moves just a bit too slow, but other than that it´s great! would love to see a TAS-based game on a Next Gen platform.

The camera is terrible, you can hardly see where you're going most of the time. Might just be out of practice, I havent played a game properly that isnt Pro Evolution Soccer or Football Manager for years.

Can anyone remember Batman 89 on the Spectrum, where it took about 30 minutes to load, and if you died, you had to load it again? Now that was frustrating!

Great story for an episode, yeah. Too bad you have to actually play through it, though.

I had Batman 89 on the Sega Mega drive, it was the first game i ever bought actually lol. Such a badass game, hard though.

Batman Vengance was an Ok Game IMO I think it would be cool if they made a type of Batman Legends game where you can play as Robin Batgirl Batman or Nightwing and take on the Villians of Gotham or make a Type of GTA Batman game that would be cool.

The only good part was the last level where you have to dive out of the blimp after the Joker in order to keep him from committing suicide and he's shooting at you all the while. The emergence of the city lights through the clouds created a real sense of urgency.

I have that...it had a LOT of potential. Anyway- on Batman: Vengeance this is one of my favorite games of all time. I love it. Great sound/voice work, great graphics, great story, strong gameplay....sure it's hard- but so is saving Gotham City.

Wished they had raised the volume on some of the audio at certain points.

What do I do on the joker level where you have to glide down the big tube, cant find where to go one i get to the bit where theres a fella shooting from across a massive gap and you have the green ooze stuff to your left

lego batman is said to be free roaming ala GTA. Even though it's made a legos, its probably the best batman game coming.

I actually had the B&R free roaming game, I didn't like it. I think it was because i found it too hard, but considering i was fairly young then, thats understandable, weather i would like it now is a different story.

if they tried a free roaming game with TDK, it would be awesome

i have that game it's based off the batman animated series

I actually liked Batman: vengeance. It was a solid game.

You wanna know of a crappy batman game? Batman Dark Tomorrow.
Looked awesome. It had Ra's Algul, Black Mask, Joker, Killer Croc, Freeze, it sounded sweet. But was TERRIBLE. Ugh the camera, the gameplay. YUCK.

But the cutscenes were superb. I'm gonna go see if they're on youtube right now lol.
