If you were a Superhero what would be your name and power?

 

[The Question]

The Magician. Discovered several lost documents and notes that belonged to Nikola Tesla and mastered Tesla's theoretical wall of light, granting mastery over time, space, gravity, and matter. Uses vast power a brand of thinking best described as "scientific mysticism" to battle and investigate forces and happenings both supernatural and high tech in nature. Yes, I've thought a great deal about this.

Mine is Wolf. Back in the1600's an ancient book of spells was discovered by a solider. He used this to become immortal and to take over a kingdom in England. After a wise-man defeated the solider by using the book against the solider. The book was buried until 1800's when it was rediscovered by a rich family, the father of the family didn't take notice of it and left it in the basement. 3 families later the book was found in the basement. The man who saw it down the basement heard legends of the book of spells as he was an archaeologist. This archaeologist sold the book for a man named Mr. Davis. Davis liked to collect things like these. Davis job was an architect and was very wealthy. The day he got the book he took it with him to work as he wanted his new treasure with him. Davis was designing new stores on Indian land. As Davis and his team where checking it out they were attacked by local Indians. One Indian who was 10 years old snuck away and stole belongings of Davis and his team including the book. That night he showed his grandfather the book. Chi-ow was wise and knew of the books existence. After months of examining the book of spells he casted his first spell to protect the land from people. He also rose a wolf spirit to protect the land. Eventually the Indians moved on over time and the book was stolen by banished Indian. The Indian died when he fell from a cliff with the book in hand. In 2005 when a young man name Bobby was camping in those very woods of the died out Indians, the wolf spirit possessed him giving him powers like he never imagined. He had amazing hearing, speed, agility and strength.

It's basically the end result of a story I had in mind after reading Tesla's Wikipedia entry. When the feds confiscated his reaserch after he died, they noted that his notes seemed to be incomplete, missing pages and the such. My idea is that those pages contained the most important parts of his theories and what hedway he had made into his most ambitious and potentially dangerous work: Anti gravity, charged particle weapons, time/space manipulation, matter manipulation, etc. He hid said papers with allies and in safe locations all around the world to make sure no one else got ahold of them before he found a safe way of using them. Over time, the notes, now refered to by those who know of them as "The Tesla Papers," drifted about, becoming truely lost. The story I had in mind revolves around several groups tracking down the Tesla papers for various ends. The main characters, naturally, want to use them for the bettering of society or, at the least, keep them out of the hands of those who would abuse them. The story ends with the hero becoming The Magician and doing battle with another fellow who got ahold of the papers and used them to create a massive suit of powered armor with similar abilities as The Magician himself, albiet cruder and more destructive. A possible sequel would have The Magician using his abilities to create "a finer world," and the consiquences therein. His atempts would range from healing the sick and feeding the hungry to creating to superhumans and even destroying a majority of the world's weapons.

I'd be byrd man. The man with the power to mentally communicate with byrds. Not birds, byrds. People with the last name Byrd.
