When did Comic books and Superheroes become "Cool"?

Isn’t well endowed mean curvaceous?
Girls with extraordinary curve!?
what do you mean by lady boys ?

If you're not sure what a lady boy is, you might want to forget about a holiday in Thailand...

Also don't take a girl home if she has an adam's apple:wow:

I think it became popular once film adaptions came out. However, I don't consider it being the most popular thing for kids in the world, though it should be. Since I'm in high school, I see kids reactions to me likeing Spider-Man. They laugh, but I'm a nerd and I'm proud of it.

They'll stay cool if real comics fans (i.e. US) keep it cool. That means that we have to be guys who just happen to be comic book fans and not the FANBOYS so many of us despise. Haha, come to think of it...

...Kevin Smith's movies, especially "Mallrats", really raised comics up a notch in popularity. People always bring up "Mallrats" to me when I mention that I'm into comics.

"What?!? You think just because I read comics, I can't kick someone's ass?!?"

Oh Brody, how I love thee...

I can't wait to see that movie with Heath Ledger, is it Spider-Man 4?

I talk to girls about comics, sometimes they think I'm a geek in a cute way or they get really interested because its basically a drama with powers.

Y'know, I discovered that chicks think you're cooler after finding out about your love for comics if you follow up with telling them that you're making a few of your own.

Then they go: "Oh my, can you make me a character? PRETTY PLEASE?!?"

And if you get them a cool one, like "Castle Waiting" when you're making your run one day, they like that too.
