When to Start JLA and Superman?

Are there any upcoming issues that would be a good jumping on point for JLA and Superman? Or current arcs that are only 2-4 issues in that would be good to start reading.

Superman isn't at a very good jumping on place at the moment. It's in the middle of a messy storyline started by JMS which he promptly dropped and walked away from the title. It's probably still going on for another 5-6 issues. But Action Comics #900 is this week and marks Supermans return to the title so that should be a perfect jumping on point.

I can't really help with JLA, I haven't paid any attention to the title in a long while now.

Yeah, I really can't recommend jumping onto Superman and Justice League of America. I'd wait and see what new creative teams they announce for those books before jumping on.

I can recommend Action Comics though. Superman returns to the book in Action Comics #900 and it's being written by Paul Cornell whose run on the book so far has been fantastic.
