Where are all the Marvel games??

Something like Arkham Asylum just doesn't happen overnight.

I like Marvel Interactive's strategy at the moment. They aren't rushing in to make mediocre games anymore.

Also it's not like we didn't get some awesome Spider-Man games in the past, just not for a while.

I think a really tight Marvel game will happen at some point. However, it also won't happen overnight.

Let Marvel take their time, and hopefully they find the right developer and they hit out of the park.

I'd be fine if we even heard some rumors about things in development
Games do take a long ass time to develop, so if they haven't even started working on a triple A game, it'll be at least 5 years before we get anything halfway decent

I whole-heartedly agree I don't wanna see lackluster games like that horrible X-Men: Destiny
but Marvel just seems content to make mobile games and Disney Infiniti crap until a developer comes up to them with some magically wonderful idea for a game, which, again, is a terrible way to get games made in any sort of Timely fashion (see what I did there?)

most games do not take 5 years and I most definitely wont expect the next Marvel game to be. 2-3 seems to be the norm

I think once they do get the video game rights dealt with, they start a Marvel Video Game Universe that is separate from the MCU. Have every game released under the MVGU be in the same continuity, but not have to adhere to the MCU. Basically how the MCU doesn't have to adhere to the comics. I wouldn't be surprised if thats what they are planning.

oh they already started that. with the Marvel heroes 2015 revamp. most people are really happy they have Troy Baker doing two voice's in the Game Dead pool the kid and Rick Rider AKA nova. They just need to start doing it with other systems and have other genre's as well.

I'm talking AAA games.
So Did I, I said so with latter with the words other genre's . that's what I meant with that up ther but I posted edited it while you were already quoting me but that part about other genre's include that .

Ok so the dev's of contest of champions said there's blue tooth controller support here's what they mean by that & that mean's this Examples : the nes like nes30:http://epn.tv/all/spotlight/nes30-review/ the mfi Controller: http://epn.tv/tag/mfi-controller/ & also there's this with Sony called xperia controller:http://epn.tv/all/type-of/news/sony-announces-new-xperia-smartphones-with-ps4-remote-play/ & then lastly there's Xbox version called the "Moga Rebel controller,"
I'll let you find that last one on your own. That you can use all for your IOS & Mobile devices . and they made for the controller most people prefer to use ad work better touch control swiping for games Now if only those kind of controller s will come down to a affordable price.
Some of them Right now are expensive then they should be. but that will fix some of that issue but yes the reason for wanting this on consoles or wanting more Triple A titles is understandable [YT]PzFc5zGMjCk[/YT]

I 'm also the featured commentator at Siliconera this week due to putting stuff I covered here just under the article for letting them know this

http://www.siliconera.com/2014/10/14/heres-marvels-injustice-style-fighting-game-smartphones-tablets/

they knew right away what blue tooth controllers meant & which ones

It's been an interesting B day week promoted o the MH forum featured on a gamer news site article.

IMO, that would be foolish. Games are a much larger investment than movies and to create a line all connected, could potentially turn off gamers who feel left out if they don't get everything. Given how risky gaming is and how most comic book adaptions don't turn into masterpieces, there's a lot to lose there

he's (well their both) HERERRRRRRRRRR

voiced by Troy Baker for Rick Rider & Logan Miller for Sam

    • To me, My X-Men - That strike team that you call down one at a time? Nah, let's do them all at once!
  • Psylocke QOL - No more Psi Energy as a secondary resource, thank god.
  • Ghost Rider QOL - A bunch of cool stuff. You're going to have to hit the link.
  • Star Lord Element Gun Update - When ammo'ed, does not cost spirit.
  • Silver Surfer - New power (Particle Burst) as a n EMF replacement.. at least that's what they're saying.
  • Wasp team up - It's exactly what you think it is.
  • Max Camera Distance - Zoom out like you do at Surtur's fight!
  • Auto Loot!!!! YESSSSSSS. Options to autoloot things like medkits, credits, even items. So awesome.

If it works for movies, I don't see why it wouldn't work for video games. I'd go as far as saying the average gamer is more savvy than the average movie goer. They're not going to avoid playing a Iron Man game because they haven't played a Captain America game.

They should all be standalone franchises, but they should do their best not to contradict the other games. I don't see how that would be a bad idea in any shape or form.

I think the issue is
"it's about it partly being about this below"

A Rep for DC's Animation and games side made a statement to the people of EPn.tv they said from now on most of their stuff story wise will be original stories even though their main source is from the current new 52. more details in the video below @ Mark 1:17
Which make it easier cause some certain writers for those sides want to do their own thing. Marvel's already doing this with some of the stuff they already have out for games . "same universe but your allowed to have your own original stories" so at least they can't say they are tied down.

That's part of the conflict to a degree. some with certain people shared universe conflict what some writers want to do their own personal story/direction. it also seem's to apply to movie's & games

but it's as I told this person on siliconera

Göran Isacson Kelechuckuw K.c.W • 19 days ago Man, you've really done a lot of reading and thinking about this. Big Marvel-fan, I take it? This system sounds like it could be pretty cool, even if they would probably have to separate it from the movie-verse someho as those games didn't end up too hot. And I wonder how much money they'd be willing to pour into something that wasn't related to the movies...

Kelechuckuw K.c.W Göran Isacson • 19 days ago I'm a comic's , Si -fi , Spy novels , anime and games fan. and lucky for Me I'm in school to be a dev . and have been a tester of games for a while. & yeah I had this idea for while.

hmmm they can do a original story just for just the games or have it semi related to the comic's universe like what marvel heroes is doing and still do their own thing .
It shouldn't be a problem Dc already did it with Arkham and DCUO . So alot is doable for them selves as well since they are already doing so with some stuff on their end they just need to expand more and find the right people .

I think the shared universe thing is doable & possible. But it's About the effort & work to make it happen. the problem is too many people just want to do their own be recognized for it, cause they are trying to make name for them selves with their original works.

So a bit of conflict come into play. There's also the issue of it not being under the same publishers /studio's as well at least for games involved.

Here's a video review of for those that will be playing contest of champs & need a certain besides the Mfi nes or Sony Xperia controllers

I would love to see a black panther game in the style of assassins creed but using the cat woman mechanics from arkham City.

An iron fist game would be awesome too

I'm fully sure about that with panther other the the acrobatic ad clawing but Arkham style panther will work for him as well as Daredevil

It would be cool if marvel went at the video game industry the same way they are with their movies for the movie industry.

It would be.

The movement in the Arkham games is too slow for Panther and Daredevil. The movement of AC mixed with the combat of Arkham would be awesome.

well no one said they have to be exactly like Arkham. but as long as the camera's can keep up with those two if it's about speed , unlike what happened with the two recent spiderman games, where they(the camera's) had trouble with the speed , it's doable.

That issue needs to be solved

My favorite Marvel games have been the X-Men Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance style games, but even those as they progressed, I hated the way they went from a lot of customization in XML2 as far as skills, to zero customization in MUA2.

I guess Marvel Heroes is like that, but I don't have the PC resources to play it and I'm not gonna go out and build one to do it, so a console port would thrill me.

Bica's Controller Support

@Findrav said: Thank you for the very well-written and informative Guide, been looking for this exact idea for awhile.
PGhiocel: Is there any chance of getting official support from Gazillion for the controllers?
Nothing official to announce but its definitely on our radar. Some of us carry little pet "projects" that eventually turn into features. I myself play alot of other games with a controller (last one was the new 2014 Gauntlet), so we know that people would like a Controller Setup just as much as Mouse&Keyboard.

one more step closer to consoles

I mean more in the way cat woman leapt up buildings. I can see panther doing that in an even more fun way

It may just be an iPad app game, but I played that new Marvel fighting game Contest of Champions at NYCC, and it's great. Console level graphics, a diverse roster... I'll definitely be downloading it when its released in December.

So, I caved and bought the Disney Infinity 2.0 Collector's Edition. Will be arriving here on Friday. Can't wait to jump into the Toy Box. I'm going to shamelessly try and rip of levels from other Marvel games. If possible, try and create my own Ultimate Alliance.

Here's the thread below as well

David Hayter to voice Winter Soldier

Besides winter soldier he'll be doi
ng double duty as another character like Troy Baker recently just did for both Nova and that cow boy version of dead pool called Dead pool the kid.

the voice of magneto was announced also the actor who's ame is james Arnold Taylor from ultimate alliace will voice him. He'll also be doi
ng Double duty for ice man as well when the latter's finally ready

and the voice actress for
Punisher: Rachel Cole-Alves
Gender-bender enhanced costumes have been quite popular in Marvel Heroes so far, with the most recent addition being Captain Mar-Vell for Ms. Marvel. I know Gazillion has Spider-Girl in the works for Spider-Man, but I’d love to see Rachel Cole-Alves from the Greg Rucka run of Punisher come in alongside his 52 review in the near future.
will be played by the voice actress that voiced Ashley Williams in the mass effect series of games

Red skull Voice actor will be Liam O'Brien who is i all of the current marvel animated series & for those that played Show of Mordor he also played
golem

lastly for your cell/mobiles for contest of champio

It's a shame there was never a true sequel to the 2005 Punisher game. The first one was a lot of fun, played it a lot back in the day. On the PS4, and in Volition's hands again, who knows how horrific another Punisher game could be.

Well another punisher game can alsway be made. they just have to find the right dev's and as I said have them work for marvel as publisher that can also be said for alot of stuff with marvel that can be turned into games

Ultimate alliance on the other had that one well .... well it won't be with that name any way if it's ever brought back just don't expect it to be called that as a title/ name everything else is free game where names are involved

Punisher was fantastic. So was hulk ultimate destruction. It's a shame those games didn't find their fanbase as quickly as we would all hope. Still, that's the nature of the industry
