Where's Rick Jones these days, anyone know?
To me he's one of the coolest characters in comics because he literally is one of us, a normal no powers person but he's cool because he hangs out with the heroes. Every kid's dream was to either be a hero or hang out with them. So, where is Rick Jones?

rick james is dead, son. :csad:

Haha, this has been a good weekend for typos. :D

Last I saw Rick Jones, he was funding the Loners' ex-superhero group therapy sessions.

Lol, but last I saw him, he showed up to be the guy giving the funds to the Excelsior/Loners superhero AA group.

Stupid question, stupid thread? Clean it up!...with The New Improved Stupid Question Thread Marvel Edition gum!

Thank you Tropico, My search function never seems to work so I just started a new thread.

uhhh whoops! Anyway i'm going to stop being a troll and post something productive. So is Rick Jones bad, because weren't the loners tech. evil or at least twisted to be evil?

No, the Runaways saw Excelsior (as they were called then) as evil because they were "grown ups". They still counted on getting their attention and them helping them out in that fight against Ultron. It was thanks to Darkhawk that they defeated him.

Yeah, the Loners and the Runaways had a typical "hero misunderstanding" fight. Neither group is evil.

I wasn wondering about that too, sort of. I mean I never actually thought of it, but where was he during Civil War?
But I guess he was funding the Loners or something?

i get the feeling that the original poster doesn't get much attention at home.

Dragonzord!

Q: “MazingMan728” - Where has America's Favorite Side-kick Rick Jones been during Civil War and will his thoughts and choosing of sides be addressed?

JQ: Rick shows up in Captain America #26 and will have a role to play in World War Hulk.

I'm glad they haven't forgotten that Rick's been a sidekick and close friend to both of them.

Yeah, I mean having him part of WWH is the most logical choice Marvel has made in years.

Hope Hulk doesn't nearly kill him again.

I love when people try to be rude for the sake of being rude.

So what if he likes Rick Jones for the reason he was created. The original appeal of Spider-Man was that he was a teenager who was his own super hero and not some sidekick.

Characters like Snapper Carr and Rick Jones are supposed to be like one of us, giving the everyman view of the super hero world.

Jones' view on Civil War, The Initiative and World War Hulk would be rather interesting to see. Hopefully they fit him in soon.

Seriously, who the **** made you netiquette police?

Last I saw Rick Jones was in the first Alias trade. Well, his imposter anyway. They said Rick was in LA.

I just read that, that's how I know.:cmad:

You're so cute Darthphere, in that "I bet he was accidently dropped on his head as a baby...and then dropped purposely...several times."

I wanted to be a total d*ck and a prick to everyone I met, but you had that niche covered so I figured I'd be the nice guy who tries to speak with some intelligence and sense of fairness that is severely lacking from the unwashed pack of high tech neanderthals that troll the internet.

There's no reason not to be nice to people. Unless they're the previously mentioned d*ck and prick. I used to be down at your level when I was a teenager, confusing stupidity for cleverness.

There's no reason that everyone can't just get along. Maybe the hippy in me is wrong and we should all just constantly talk down to eachother because it's a lot easier than being nice.

Who was it that said "The way the ignorant win is by bringing you down to their level and beating you with experience." ?

So spout your one liners and insults. Being a jerk on the internet only points out how truely pathetic you are when there isn't a keyboard in place of your mouth and a computer screen to shield your face.

Oh yeah...this topic is about Rick Jones...Anyone think it's a sign of the status of comic books when they ignore characters like Rick Jones? Sort of like how the nineties had a serious lack of teen sidekicks until Young Justice came about.

The comic market is rather healthy right now, so I expect Marvel and DC to honor the more human characters by featuring people like Jones, Olsen and Carr more prominently in their respective universes.

The thing that I find laughable is, you really do think you're a nice guy online, but your responses are completely opposite of what you try to accomplish. LOL! Irony.
