Im wondering what other geeky stuff everyone is in to?
I look around at the various boards and see film geeks who collect DVD's like theres no tomorrow.Theres gaming geeks who lob gaming knowledge back and forth.Comic book geeks who ramble on about whether or not spider-man can beat up the thing.

But what other geek-ish things do you do?
I want to hear from the people who paint and assemble Macross/Gundam models. And the people who've read every Dragonlance novel.I want to hear from the people who collect crazy stuff on Ebay like Conans sword and working lightsabres..

Gimme Geek

I'm a CS major, collect comics, dvd's, love cheesy horror (including Troma of course), used to have pet rats and Hackers gets more play in my dvd player than possibly any other movie I own. That's about my geek level.
My gf has read all the Dragonlance books though, and used to play D&D..though I don't really consider her all that geeky.

I have outlined a Silver Surfer movie trilogy and Captain America 2-part origin movie...though I have never fully written them, I have outlined them and what would happen.

Wow. Glad to see someone else enjoys the geekness that is Hackers.:word:

I collect cell phones. I must have whatever is new. I usually don't hold onto a new cell phone for more than 3 or 4 months...then I buy a new one and throw the old one in the collection pile or sell it on eBay. I love engadget.com and lots of other gadget sites. I stay on top of cool technology...so I guess I'm a gadget geek.

Oh, and I have a massive collection of old garbage pail kids. Sad, no?

Disgusting.

i actually don't do anything majorly geeky, although i recognise and embrace my geeky aspects, like my obsession with batman.

some of my friends on the other hand paint warhammer models, which i despise.

I collect Action figures and statues (Marvel themed) and play message board role playing games (also Marveled themed) I've been told I play the best Cyclops anyone has seen :D

I read comics and watch science fiction television. Sci-fi comics are like... some sort of demi-heaven.

I'm a self-proclaimed Photoshop junkie, and I also collect celebrity autographs in-person (my latest one is from the sexy-yet-sweet Laura Vandervoort). :D

I started collecting Transformers, I must have 20 now, yep 20, I don't know what I would do without my Transformers.

Also collect DVD's, I must have 400 now, yep 400, I don't know what I would do without my DVD's.

I also write down every movie I've watched in this Journal and rate it. Started this last year. I can't write down a movie I've seen twice, has to be a new title every time.

Anything that's related to Marvel, I'll get it. ML's, comics, TPB's, statues, busts, Monopoly boards, and crappy cheap toys...

But, if it isn't Marvel. I'm collecting Kinder Egg toys.

Oh, and I like to write and draw now and then.

I used to collect the Kinder Toys. Those were the days.
I remember the smurfs toys. I had them all.

I kind of lost any time to really do any "geek" things when I hit highschool and got a car. Like in 7-9th grade I went to LAN Tournaments, take my computer to a place with like a 100 other geeks(went to a 250 person one one time) and play computer games all day. I use to collect comics weekly, use to play magic cards, etc. Ever since really I got that car, started socializing, started working toward my future, etc... The geeky things kind of fell on the wayside, who has the time or money to keep up with these things? Seriously if I went to a LAN tournament now, I'd shoot myself after the second or third hour.

However I still buy trade paperbacks from time to time, have 400-500 DVD collection, check the box office every weekend, still post on here from time to time, and consistently check movie news so I still got some geek in me left.

Horror geek :)

Films, books -- Clive Barker, Stephen King -- and I even enjoy visiting supposedly-haunted places :o
