Here's a thing that I think only the pre-internet generation can relate to: the steady decline in the quality of "adult themed" programming on premium cable networks.

Way back when, before the internet could provide you with your every kinky desire at the click of a mouse, horny young lads like my past self had to scrape and scrounge for our boob & behind fix. The week would trudge slowly by and then finally friday night would come and a quick check of the TV guide would confirm it; 11:30pm on Cinemax - "Some Random Titty Movie Made In The Netherlands Somtime In The 1970's: Part 3"

Now many of you, I'm sure, are totally unfamiliar with this long past phenomena of pre-pubescent yearning for anything remotely pornographic. Having grown up around computers and the internet, what with your file sharing & all that jazz. And to all you youngsters I say "Shut up and go get me a sandwich." You can't possibly appreciate what it was like back then.

The thing is, at some point the networks stopped trying. Or maybe they started trying the wrong things. They started making their own nudey movies and they just weren't as fun as the old stuff. Remembering all the exuberant, silly, naked fun of those old classics and seeing the lame, unimaginative, homogenized crap that has come to inhabit it's hallowed time slots, I am left wanting.

There were a ton of these old movies. Cinemax and Showtime used to have a seemingly inexhaustable supply. But all my googling has thus far proved fruitless in tracking down this lost genre. And so I ask you all (at least those among you above the age of twenty five) to remember with me those great old Skinemax classics.

I always come back to Cinderella (1977) where Prince Charming holds a Royal Masked "Ball" to determine which young woman from his kingdom will be his princess. Cinderella with some help from her fairy godmother (a black, pimp-like character) impresses the prince with her "skills", but then has to leave before the clock strikes twelve. Which leads into the Prince going door to door "sampling the talents" of all the young women in the kingdom to find the one with the "perfect fit". Great stuff.

So tell us, what was your favorite late-night cable naughty movie? The goofier, the better.

Does anyone know of a reliable source (online or otherwise) where these old movies can be found for download or purchase?

This really isn't the most appropriate place to discuss porno, but I agree. Before the internet, LOL, porn being less available than it is today, mannnnnnnnnnnnnn, it was like a holiday madeline special to find it while on the cinemax.

They were more creative, and I think classier back then... for porno anyway. The new stuff is badly lit, badly shot, usually just some dork shaking the camera too much. They actually tried to emulate real movies back then... and... hmmm maybe I shouldn't be typing this...

Yeah, see I don't really consider them to be actual porn. The same way I don't consider Playboy magazine to be porn. Now maybe that says something about the kind of guy I am, but what do I care? Fifteen years ago these were pretty raunchy films, but by today's standards? Hell, you could probably see them on TBS with a little extra editing.

I've found a couple old classics on bittorrent, but there doesn't seem to be much out there. Somewhere there's some dude with a stack of old VHS tapes in his closet just itching to make a buck.

LOL. I actually remember watching that Cinderella one and I believe the word "snapping" was used quite frequently.
