Where the Wild Things are.

Dude that song is awesome.

For some reason I think this film would do much better with an actual score than some rock music. It's not the song I hate, I just don't think it fits the film and I'm hoping it's only for the trailer.

She's his ex now. But they're still friends and whatnot.

On a somewhat related note, he directed the video for the Yeah Yeah Yeah's song "Y Control", and it's awesome.

yeah that song/video kicks ass

A trailer is very different from a film.

A Flaming Lips song will be with the next trailer. Im hoping itll be Do You Realize? I cant see any other Flaming Lips song going with this film.

Cool. I'm trying to think if it will just premiere online or be attached to a movie.

Flaming Lips? Wow, even if the movie sucks the soundtrack will kick ass.

The song fits the trailer perfectly.

Not really. Me my gf and numerous friends who all grew up reading this book and have a big connection with it and our childhood all agreed that the song let alone any kind of rock just doesn't feel right. I guess for some of you younger generations who like it and might not have read the book that's fine but I hope it's not in the actual film.

The part of the song that is in the trailer actually kinda fits the story.

If the children don't grow up,
our bodies get bigger but our hearts get torn up.
We're just a million little gods causin' rain storms turnin' every good thing to
rust.

Don't care if the lyrics kind of sort of fit the story, it's the actual music itself. Not a bad song mind you, I just think it will be a bit distracting if used in the film.

I don't think it'll be in the film. I grew up on that book (it jump started my love of reading) and I felt the acoustic version of Wake Up they had in the trailer set a beautiful mood for the film. I'd like an actual score in the film, but for the trailer I think they did fine

Lyrically i think The Yeah Yeah Yeah song ( by the flaming lips) fits the movie much better than Do you realize.

"Are you crazy?
It's a very dangerous thing to do
Exactly what you want
Because you cannot know yourself,
Or what you'd really do"

It fits with the themes of Max doing what he wants, causing mischief, creating an imaginary world in his room and running away to it. a number of the rest of the lyrics go along those lines as well.

although perhaps musically Do You Realise is more fitting or apealing.

i retract my above statement, Do You realise will fit quite nicely.

Has anyone watched the behind-the-scenes video on Rotten Tomatoes? It's awesome to know that Spike has had Maurice's blessing since day one.

I still haven't gotten around to watching that, but that's awesome. Much better than hearing Moore whine about Watchmen.

haha qft

Yeah, it's really nice to know that Maurice is happy with the adaption; gives me more hope that the film will be great.

You talking about old complaints from Moore or recent ones involving the film?
