Where the Wild Things are.

Carroll O' Connor from All in the Family maybe? It can be a male's name.

i said it once and im gonna say it again, the CG on those creatures is A-MA-ZING.

i thought spike went through a rigorous process of constructing actual suits? and just the facial expressions and stuff were cgi...

Does anybody know who does the songs in both of those tv spots?

Karen O is doing the entire score. The link to the film's myspace page was posted a page or two back, which has the song in the first spot ("All is Love"). I don't think the song in the second spot is the same one, but it definitely sounds similar so it will probably be on the soundtrack too. :woot:

I really hope this movie turns out to be as good as it looks. Everything about it seems spectacular - the music fits so well, the wild things look amazing, and from the tv spots and trailer I'm already loving the kid they cast at Max. I can't wait to finally see it next month.

I'm pretty sure both TV Spots feature "All Is Love", only edited, like the Arcade Fire trailer song. Either way, love the choice. Hell, I'm loving everything about this.

If the songs from the tv spots are actually part of the score, this'll only be more perfect. I'm really counting on this to be my favorite movie of the year. Favorite movie since TDK, really.

For those who like this sort of thing, Urban Outfitters is doing a huge cross promotion with Where the Wild Things are. They seem to have a ton of merch and a contest to go see the premiere in LA.

Got a pair of shades there the other day for 10 bucks. I'll check it out.

i cant wait for this film, i read this book so long ago
i love how Spike Jones is doing this film, not crappy full CG
the look of this film so far is amazing

I still don't like the movie looks. The monsters are just amazingly creepy, and the kid give me some ''not a good actor'' vibe. Still my main problem is that the creatures look creepy and disturbing.

Thats kind of the point.

Gee I don't know, maybe because the original kids book tried conveying that same reaction.

Their looks with their naivety are supposed to contrast each other. The same is being done in the movie.

Everything so far looks perfect. Anyone who's familiar with the original book is aware of this.

well dont watch them then.

if you want cute puppets go watch sesame street

personally i think they look awesome.
