Which Batman comics should a new Batman fan start with ? I saw some at amazon.com, Batman: Year One ?

Thanks.

Year One is good to start with. Then go for The Long Halloween and Dark Victory. Then probably Killing Joke and Man Who Laughs.

Thanks ! :)

Although good luck finding the Man Who Laughs... it's out of print and EXTREMELY hard to find. Also, after all those I'd recommend Arkham Asylum, and possibly The Dark Knight Returns. I've only read the former, but I hear that the latter is really good.

Most def get Arkham asylum. Also check out the Batman/superman series. And some of the Grant Morrison JLA stuff, Most noteably TOWER OF BABEL. THat is one of the Best Batman/Ra's stories there is. And definitely get Killing Joke. Ironically enough, it's one of the most touching Batman novels there is, and it's all about that sick bastard!

^For Batman/Superman I'd say get Public Enemies, the rest you can do without. Also, Batman: Hush is quite good.

Personally, I found the Supergirl arc of Superman/Batman pretty good as well. Granted, I'm generally in the minority with that.

Thanks for all the great tips guys:up:

It was alright, some of it was pretty cool.
