Where were you....

When Michael Jackson died, I was driving to my mom's and the radio was playing the Alien Antfarm Smooth Criminal, and immediately after it was over, the DJ came back and said "Well...it seems Michael Jackson has died." I was literally shocked. Got to my mom's and switched on the news. Sure enough. Wasn't a huge MJ fan, but it was a huge blow to the music industry.

I remember watching a music channel show, when the host suddenly announced that Kurt Cobain was dead. The weird and erronenous thing though was that according to the telegram, he stated Cobain had taken an overdose.

When 9/11 happened, I was at home watching a morning news TV show. It was totally surreal when footage suddenly came in showing the second plane crash into the other Twin Towers building.

I remember being home the day MJ died. My mom was at a doctor's appointment, and when I heard the news, I tried calling her, but she couldn't talk. I felt really bad because growing up, my brother would always play his songs and was a huge fan, and he got me into it, so much that I would rank MJ above everyone else in terms of my favorite artist.

I also remember that it was my friend's birthday that day and he was so upset because everyone was talking about MJ instead of him.
