Did you see that? Hal Jordan gave that man brand new arms with his Miracle Healing Punch!
Isn't that nice?

:D

I didn't know Jordan had the Power to heal people with punches.

That was a joke... only perhaps not as funny.

i allways wanted to know who'd win in a fight between green lantern and penny crayon...

Its sad people still love the guy.
I fail to understand how anyone can. The only time he isnt boring, is when he's a total *******. The fact is, Hal Jordan sucks ass. And anyone who thinks otherwise probably sucks more than Jordan himself.

Funny thing is, I used to like Hal, and I even still like Rebirth but seriously, theres a line that has to be drawn.

I liked him a lot as the tainted hero. I liked how Superman, Kyle, John, Guy, and a few others supported him and vouched for his redemption while Batman and most of the other heroes considered him a bastard.

With the exception of Rebirth, I cant recall anytime actually caring about Hal in continuity. Aside from that, I only liked him JLA:Year One, which is now out of continuity (thanks again Johns) and New Frontier. But then again, everyone kicked ass in New Frontier.

They should get Darwyn Cooke to write and draw Green Lantern. If anyone could make me care about Hal, it's him.

It's just hard to see Batman get sucker punch by Hal. Batman has all that martial arts and fighting training to know that punch was coming.

I'm sorry, but it's opinions like that which makes me like that punch all the more.

All the martial arts training in the world is not going to prevent you from ever being punched again for the rest of your life. It's not a matter of if it's going to happen, but when. There's no such thing as "he should have seen it coming." The fact is that he didn't, and it's completely reasonable that he didn't. Peroid. Being a martial artist doesn't make you invulnerable. It doesn't make you unhittable. It doesn't make you superhuman. Over the years Batman has accumulated dozens upon dozens of scars and bruises all over his body as blatant proof of this, that he is vulnerable and far from superhuman. Hal has spent years as an Air Force personnel and Justice League member and it makes just as much sense, if not more, that he could tag Batman just as well as any other Gotham thug has over the years.

All this ridiculousness about Hal never being able to punch Batman just stinks of more "BATMAN is TEH R0XXoRs!!!!!" attitude than he ever deserved.

Why would the green lantern even punch someone when his ring can do pretty much anything? Batman V Green lantern is unfair to start with! But I prefer Hal GL than John GL, just cause he becomes Parralax!!!

As far as I've seen, Batman's scars come from gunshot wounds and guys like Lady Shiva and David Cain--people who can match or exceed him in fighting skill. Being a martial artist obviously doesn't mean he'll never get hit again, but it should probably mean that he wouldn't get hit by a pilot with, at most, basic training under his belt. Also, for the record, I'd like to see one time in recent memory where Batman was ever tagged by a Gotham thug.

I love this thread it brings the Hal hater and the Batman haters into one nice blend of hatefulness.

I see his point here. I am not saying that Batman is unbreakable or anything but still.

Well...I'm neither...what does that make me? :(

Hatred of the dog collar is acceptable. You will, however, respect the crab mask!

It was so beautiful to see it in the last issue of Ion.

Respect the crab.

I like the crab mask. It makes him different from the other GLs more. I just didn't like the suit he wore with it.

The white part I guess. Or was it the part at the end of the gloves (the pointy part)? They could have done a better job on the suit. :(

It doesn't follow the typical GL suit outline like his next costume did, but I liked it.
