Captain America will not die, and neither will Scarlet Witch. The one who will die will be Winter Soldier, and his death scene will only be filmed during reshoots. This movie will wrap up the Winter Soldier storyline that was begun in the last film, and there will be no more need for Winter Soldier in future films.

So a writer at LaineyGossip tweeted today that those CW spoilers are false. I can't link to her tweet directly due to language, but her twitter account name is Cinesnark, and she's been on point with some MCU rumors (like how Bucky is central to CW's plot, Cate Blanchett being considered to play the villain in Thor 3, and she even hinted at MS reporting directly to Disney many weeks before it was officially reported on).

The fact that they claimed her death is one of three possible deaths makes it seem like the original rumor mongers just threw up the names of three potential Avengers to die so they'd be able to claim they were right if at least one came true.

First post. I really really hope it's not Scarlet Witch who dies if someone has to die. She has so much more potential as a character than at least half the other avengers. To be honest, I feel that if someone does die, it should be by the hands of Zemo/Crossbones, not in the civil war itself. The MCU civil war is gonna be so different from the comics, there's no need to have someone die like the way giant man died in the comics. I mean, even in the comics, all the heroes were toning down their powers so that they wouldn't kill each other, only the Thor clone actually killed. In the MCU, I feel like it'll be just killing for the sake of killing if someone does die. I mean, these are a bunch of friends, they might disagree but they're not gonna suddenly want each other dead over some difference of opinion

I think, with Hela (played by Blanchett) we have a good chance, that some players are dying. But i do not think already in "Civil War".

But, wasn`t it Captain America in "Avengers Mightiest Heroes", who was with Hela?
So even if someone dies, i would say they will return in "Infintiy War". Therefore, let them die

People keep missing this point and acting like the comic was 8 issues of the heroes seriously trying to murder one another.

does someone have to die in this? With Infinity War 1 & 2 on the horizon I would be surprised if anyone dies in any Marvel film prior to that - other than Thor in Thor 3 and he'll be brought back for IW 2...

Honestly for me, Bucky would be the easiest...but I know everyone would riot, people love Bucky.
